  Everyone was fantastic with communication and patience with me forgetting the extra key to the car. The smart portion of my windshield somehow got smarter (i.e. the sensors are better at sensing water). With any windshield issues, this would be my choice. Best customer service ever.

  I have a breathalyzer on my truck. I informed the tech at the greeting desk/counter. He said “no problem. We deal with this all the time”. I started my truck so the tech could pull it in the bay to replace my windshield, knowing the situation with the breathalyzer. When work was completed I got in my truck and the device informed me there was a violation and that it would go in to “lockout” mode in a few days. I went to the shop where the breathalyzer was installed and had to pay $75 to erase the lockout violation. They informed me there were 2 missed breath samples. I informed Safelite and they said they don’t reimburse for things like that. I called Smart Start and Jimmie, the area/ district manager made an effort to talk with them but then the phone call was released. Being fed up and getting nowhere with either company I ate the $75 fee. Do with this information as you see fit

  Safelight scheduled me to come in for warranty work today, to replace my windshield and the molding along the passenger side of the windscreen. But get this, they didn't have the windshield nor the molding at the shop. Like you, I smacked my forehead at the ineptitude of whomever scheduled me to come in without ensuring the material needed was in the shop. This is the third time I've come to get my windshield fixed. The first time, they replaced the windshield. The second time I came in to tell them the molding along the passenger side of the windshield had flown off while I was driving the car. Also, I showed them the molding along the driver's side was buckling. To prevent it from flying off too, they took it into the shop to reseat it. While doing that work, they cracked my windshield. Safelight scheduled me to come in today to get a new windshield and the passenger side molding, under warranty. But after sitting here for almost an hour, the tech came out to tell me they didn't have the windshield nor the passenger side molding in the shop. I asked if when they do get the windshield and the molding, that they come to my house to do the work. They said they would. I'll edit this post to report what transpires next...stay tuned.

  I scheduled a windshield replacement at Safelite for May 1st at 11:00 AM and arrived early, expecting the quoted 1.5–2 hour turnaround. Instead, my car sat untouched for over two hours with zero communication. It wasn’t until 1:19 PM that they finally brought it in—without any apology or explanation. Then I was told the windshield had to come from the dealership and that I’d need a separate trip there for calibration—something that should have been disclosed upfront. What should have been a quick visit turned into more than four hours of waiting with no clear timeline. The lack of communication, transparency, and respect for customers’ time is unacceptable. I would strongly recommend avoiding this Safelite location.

  roman with safelite came to my home for repair on what i thought was a huge chip to my truck windshield. i got it sunday nite and set an appt right away for monday morning at their shop. i waited an hour from my appt time before i even got seen, and after being told the filler might crack the windshield more, i knew i didn't have time in my day to wait longer. i set another appt to have roman come to my home for repair on tuesday and that was the best! i had time to get my chores done and he made it look like a much tinier sparkle of light on the windshield! thank goodness, no need for new windshield! and i don't have to woory about the texas heat making the damage spread! thank you roman!
