  On 5-18-26 I booked a king suite for check in on 5-18 check out 5-19 requested late check in upon arrival at 3am I requested a stay over. Got up at 8am had a 9pm meeting on the jobsite was told to be in Galveston that nxt morning so I made it back to the hotel to check out and the front desk manager told me I couldn't even though it was well before the initial check out of 11am. She was very rude very unprofessional her shouting at me in the Fourier. I only requested that they did not bill me for another night and she started off and said they already had. She stated no refund I called best Western customer service they said nothing they could do because the hotel was private owned. I used to stay here all the time for business I will never stay here again. BEST WESTERN 333 ROLAND AVE SAN ANTONIO TX BOB PATEL OWNER VERY UNPROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP THERE ON PAYROLL.......

  A special recognition to Mrs. Debra who was working the front desk Sunday May 10, 2026 at 10:00pm. She was so nice, very professional, and went out of her way to find us a room on the 1st floor. This was our first time staying at a Best Western Plus. We wanted something within 10 minutes of the Alamo without paying an arm and a leg. This location is secluded, quiet, safe and next to a whataburger for those of us that sleep in and miss the really good breakfast that is included with your stay. The grounds and inside were clean. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the a/c worked really well and there were no bugs and no mold. (This was a huge complaint in reviews at other hotels in the radius I was searching) Also, make sure to book your room online with the hotel website it will save you a lot of money.

  Not kid friendly too many men for some reason…. Also the bathroom had hairs on the wall and the toilet not cleaned

  I’ve been a frequent guest at this hotel for four years, and the service was always excellent. However, my last two stays have been quite poor. A few months ago, I had the unpleasant experience of finding cockroaches in my room. I was moved to another room and left it at that. But when I returned this week, my room had two issues: the toilet chain broke and the AC didn't work. I reported this to a woman at the front desk who promised to fix it, but when I returned near midnight, nothing had been done. They offered a room change then, but moving everything at midnight is a major hassle. The next day, I spoke to the same woman again. She caught an attitude and said it wasn't her problem because she leaves at 3:00 PM, and if maintenance didn't show up, it wasn't her fault. So, is the problem mine? This person is inefficient and lacks the aptitude for a customer service role. I doubt I’ll return; the experience is declining—the elevators are glitchy, breakfast is getting worse, and it’s a shame because things were great for the first three years. As for the front desk clerk (fair-skinned), she is completely incompetent.
