I do not recommend staying at the Best Western in Palo Alto.
During my first night, I found two cockroaches in my room. The second one actually climbed onto my bed while I was lying down. I requested a new room, but when I entered the second room, I immediately saw an even larger cockroach.
I then asked for a third room, and the front desk employee responded with:
“So you just want to keep moving from room to room until you don’t find cockroaches?”
At that point it was already around midnight, so I asked him to please give me one last room and told him that if I found anything else, I would just stay there anyway because it was too late to keep dealing with the situation.
In the third room, I found two small cockroaches in the bathroom. I killed them and tried to sleep. The next morning, I checked out and moved to a different hotel.
This was a very unpleasant experience, both because of the cleanliness issues and the way the situation was handled by the staff.

The bathroom was not broomed properly, there were hairs near the bathtub and it smelled and fell really humid everywhere. The staff was okay but we stopped there for a family room and only had 3 towels when we were 5 staying there and when we asked for 2 extra towels they were asking us to give them the 3 used ones beforehand, so I did not understand that policy. Not the usual Best western hotel experience
Arrived around 11:00 PM for a shower - the tub was leaking with a pretty heavy stream and we found there was no hot water in Room 303. I called the front desk and reported the issue right away.
The next morning, we woke up at 6:30 AM and still had no hot water and a significant leak from the tub spout in the shower. By 8:30 AM, I called again and was told there was no maintenance available that day. When I asked if that meant there would be no hot water at all, they confirmed that was correct.
Very disappointing, especially for a basic expectation like hot water. I understand things happen, but having no solution or support offered made the experience frustrating.

Service is amazing. We had Matt check us in last evening, and he is so friendly and helpful and great. Answered all my questions.
The room was fine except for the bathroom. The only complaint I have is how slippery the floor is after a shower. I'm pregnant and nearly slipped after getting out. Of I hadn't had a towel to lay on the floor I would have had to get down and crawl to avoid slipping.
Also, for the breakfast I have never been to a hotel breakfast that didn't have a waffle maker. I was so excited for that because it's the only good food hotels usually have because of budgeting or whatever to save money but there wasn't one.
Overall a good experience but probably wouldn't be my first choice to return (yes because of a lack of waffles) if other hotels in the area had similar priced rooms.

Me and my husband loved our experience here for the Poteet strawberry festival, the Jacuzzi was the best part, cold AC and hot water and easy help from the front desk, would definitely recommend and come back here every time we visit San Antonio, the rooms were clean and room service was perfect nothing was missing just came back to clean floors, fresh towels, and trash taken
