We are a longtime BW Rewards members, and stay exclusively at BW properties when we travel. This is the one of nicest properties we have stayed at. The property is well maintained, in a safe well lit location in Wall, SD directly off of I-90.
The rooms are comfortable, and very clean. The breakfast is great, and offers hot and cold options. The area where the breakfast is served is clean, and well kept. The gentleman that prepares, and serves the breakfast is very accommodating, and you could tell he is proud of his position. Although we did not use the indoor pool, the water was warm and appears to be very clean.
The entire hotel staff is extremely accommodating, and professional under the leadership of owner, Lex Heathershaw, and General Manager, Nick Cox. The Best Western Plains Motel is a family owned business since 1970. All of the team members are very hands-on in the operation, and was obvious when we spoke to Mr. Heathershaw very early in morning. Later, as we were checking out, he was in the parking lot, picking up trash!
The two-bd suite we got was nice and clean. The location is very convenient.

I highly recommend this Best Western as a base for your Badlands adventures. Ignore the tired looking facade. The rooms are clean and updated, complete with mini fridge and microwave. Even a pool and hot tub! The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate, nothing special, but a staff member was walking around to refill coffee which was a pleasant touch.

An incredible stay at this location. Room was clean, very well stocked, and did I mention how clean the room was.
Breakfast was great, and David worked tirelessly to ensure every guest had the best experience. The staff here actually seemed happy.
A great business is never accidental, so congratulations to a job well done by management and all staff.

A solid choice for the area.
We stayed 3 nights in late September and the place appeared full the entire time even with rainy weather.
The room was quiet and adequately large. The beds were medium firm with 4 pillows each. It would be nice to have had pillows with a range of firmness. The refrigerator was relatively big.
Big gold star for the shower water pressure and volume. Very satisfying.
The breakfast was a well executed typical presentation for this class of motel.
The indoor pool and hot tub facilities were well maintained, as appeared the outdoor pool, which had just closed for the season.
The gym was rinky-dink but better than nothing.
The staff were all friendly and helpful - likely lots of family and friends of the owners.
No fault of the Best Western, but the food options in town were surprisingly limited for so many motel rooms.
