My family and I came here for vacation during the fair. We spent a pretty penny for a subpar experience. Started from when we walked in. We go to check in for a room we booked over a month ago, only to be told they are over booked and don't have our room. The lady helping us was friendly, but talks about how she could bump someone since we were there first but they have a note on the other accounts profile that says "Do Not Move". Makes you wonder if someone got there before us and they decided to bump us. Then she tells us that she is going to be giving us an upgrade for the same price. We booked a suite and our "upgrade" was just a regular room. So my husband returns to the front, confused about why we're paying a suite price for a regular room and the lady that helped him this time was extremely rude pretty much saying there was nothing she can do. We got everything squared away and our room was not cleaned very well. Food still in fridge, toothpaste spatter on counter, and the paper they leave on the bed had food on it. Two of our four lamps didn't work. I will state a positive being their beds are comfortable, if you can get past the stains . We stayed here since it was close to the fair and had a water park. Our two year old could not be in the water long because the water was so cold he started shaking. Someone else in our party had to change rooms because theirs smelled terrible. We walked up the same steps the three nights we were here with dishes sitting at the bottom with food in them. Multiple times we followed workers down the stairs who walked right on by.
For the price paid, I just expected a bit better. I do not plan on coming back. Like I said, nice people, just a bad experience.
A reliable, quiet, clean, friendly hotel will a peaceful restaurant to unwind in during the Black Hills Rally. I've made the 1200 mile journey 5 times over 16 years, and Ramkota is my favorite hotel for the past 12 years. It's close enough to Sturgis, and yet, far enough away at the same time. It's an easy launch out to Rushmore and Custer... and I'm only here for the riding during the day, and quiet relaxing at night. At the end of 12 hours cruising the Hills, the Ramkota is a great place to rest my head.

Overall definately not worth the money we paid. We paid for a king suite and it was disappointing. The room was spacious but thats the only good part. The bed was rock hard we took the memory foam pad from the hideabed couch to make it bearable to sleep. It also had red stains on the bedding, the floor in the bar area was sticky and clearly hadn't been mopped as there was gum stuck to the floor, the shower wasnt cleaned hair all over the walls, the phone and alarm clock didnt work, and the room was way to hot. Couldnt turn the thermostat down per hotel request. Made sleeping very miserable. The staff was great though.
I am from New York well, the outside of the hotel felt foreign. The inside was Welcoming and comfortable. The amenities were incredible, including the shuttle and food! Cynthia was great at finding local hotspots. Matt was a very safe and cautious shuttle driver who engaged in great conversation.

Family of 7 with 5 children stayed in two rooms for 6 nights. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. Beds and pillows were comfortable. There are 2 large pool rooms. One catered more to children and one with a large pool and hot tub. Water was chilly but fine. The only negative was that there were never any clean towels available to use.
