Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
Door knob was falling off bathroom door, so was the toilet seat. The landscaping was overgrown, trash was in all the landscaping, air vents were not cleaned. Two floors of ice machine were broken. Sheets for sleeper sofa were not even folded. Wads of hair in the blanket. Outside doors for keyed entry didn’t work they just opened without key. Overall it was semi clean in the room but the whole hotel is run down. Breakfast was minimal. Apple juice was just water. No fruit except apples. “Clean towels” were wet.

My fiancé and I just came back from a trip to watch the famous Mecun Auction in Harrisburg, PA and had a wonderful time. We stay at the Best Western in 150 Nationwide which was in a perfect location for us. So, not knowing what to expect this was a great start. The minute we entered we were received with a smile and cortesy. The check in was fast and efficient. We had a reservation thru Expedia for 2 Queen beds, and it is exactly what we found, and at the exact price offered to us. The room was very clean and quiet, which was appreciated. The cleaning staff was sociable and professional. The beds were very comfortable. Yeah, a little tall for me, but no problem, I had a bed like that for many years. We both slept sound, and so deep. Something we really needed. The access to WiFi was important for me, and provided right away with no issues at all. The bathroom was clean. However, I would have appreciated a non-slip matt because I have MS. Nonetheless this is a quick fix, and doesn't take away from the comfort we received. The hotel also offered a Continental breakfast which is a fantastic idea, if everyone going could realize that more than one person will be sharing the food with them; they are not eating alone. Unfortunately, this brekfast time and space offered so generously to the customers, needs supervision. Don't get me wrong, we had an incredible time, and the hotel and staff were fantastic. It was a pleasurable, and enjoyable experience. And I do recommend anyone traveling to Harrisburg to stop here, just remember to be considerate during breakfast. 😀
Sincerely,

They did let us check in an hour early which was appreciated but everything else was bad. 2 towles for 5 ppl and when I asked for more I was told no. The pull out couch was broken and you couldn't even sit on it. There was mold in the shower and on the bathroom ceiling. The pool was filthy and the filter was broken. The ice machine had mold on it.
Spoke to another guest who had a suite for a week with a door that did not lock- he was told to put a chair or luggage in front of it to keep it closed. Would NEVER use this hotel again.

Booked by price and amenity I was looking for and didnt pay attention to reviews.
Once I saw reviews I did my own bug check and found white powder sprinkled everywhere. Did not find any bugs but I kept my bag on the luggage stand on the tile and pulled the bed away from the wall headboard. I still ended up with bites mostly along my left shoulder neck and earlobe. Now I have to check and wash everything with me. Rooms need updated. This is a factor in mitigating the problem along with management style/problem solving and standard of cleaning employed.
These bites are welting and itching like crazy a week later still.

My wife checked into the room ahead of me and found it to be poorly maintained. Two doors led into the hotel room (we rented a bigger room for the extra space). One of the doors could not be secured because the deadbolt was not operational, and the interior handle of the second door fell off. Toilet seat was not secured to the toilet. There were a few other issues, but my wife also discovered mold in the room, which wasn't great for our children with a mold allergy. Needless to say, she declined to take the room and went to another hotel.
I was told by hotel staff working the overnight shift that there would be no charge, so we'll see what happens.
Never had a problem at Best Western, but beware booking at this hotel.
