  Overall a very nice stay! This Best Western Plus is pricey compared to other ones I've stayed at in major cities. But there are not many hotel choices when visiting Oswego. Check in was the fastest ever at any hotel and all the staff we encountered were very friendly. Room was large, clean, large fridge and had a nice balcony overlooking the river. Yes, If you look hard enough you will see normal wear and tear. I was not able to get hot water from the bathroom faucet. Very nice included breakfast (not sure why there have been negative reviews) Everything is well laid out in a breakfast room overlooking the river. Eggs Sausage Bacon Hash Cottage cheese Make your own waffles regular and cinnamon apple Yogurt Fruit Muffins Bread and bagels Juices, milk, coffee I will most likely stay again if needed!

  Extremely Disappointing — Not the Room We Booked This was, without question, one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have had. We booked a riverfront room four months in advance and were looking forward to our stay. Instead, we were checked into a room with a view of the parking lot. When we brought this to the attention of both the staff and the manager, we were simply told that there was nothing they could do about it. No meaningful attempt was made to correct the situation or offer an alternative. The room itself was equally disappointing. There was mold in the shower, and the room clearly felt dated. We were initially told that we were in the newer section and that the only issue was that the building had “older elevators.” The walk to our room was almost a full city block. The manager also told us the room had been recently renovated—until we learned that the renovation was actually done in 2010, 16 years ago. That hardly qualifies as “recently renovated” by today's standards. There wasn't even a single USB outlet in the room to charge our phones or watches. We actually had to go out to the car to charge our devices. For a hotel presenting itself as a modern property, this was completely unacceptable. What was perhaps most frustrating was the complete lack of concern from management. All of our complaints were made directly in front of the hotel's prominently displayed “Our Service Promise” sign, which states: “If something is not meeting your expectation, please let us know. We want to make it right.” Unfortunately, those words felt more like a slogan than a genuine promise. We did let them know, and they did not make it right. We understand that not every stay will be perfect and that things can occasionally go wrong. What matters is how a hotel responds when a legitimate concern is brought to management's attention. In our case, there was no meaningful effort to resolve the situation. We booked a riverfront room four months in advance and received a parking lot view, a dated room with mold in the shower, and virtually no effort from management to address our concerns. That is simply not acceptable, and we would not stay here again.

  We had a very nice stay here. We spend one Sunday night in a room with a single queen bed for $140. The room was nice, there were a couple floor stains but no bed bugs from what I could see and everything seemed clean. Staff was nice and helpful. The view of the sunset was really great. I’d stay here again, it was right by a couple restaurants and within walking distance of a lot of attractions. It’s not a true 5 star hotel but as far as a Google review goes, it’s 5 stars from me!

  I want to leave this a better review but they didn't honor my military discount because a festival was going on... I'm still a veteran whether there is a circus or a band playing nearby etc. The room was a suite don't be fooled by the name the room is large depending but the chairs and carpet looked like something out of fear and loathing in Las Vegas. If you don't know that old movie well then let me say they could be replaced like 20 years ago. The people are great and normal rates aka when an event isn't going on, is decent but overall this last experience cost me well over 300 dollars and the fact I was looking at wallpaper coming off and carpeted chairs. The view from the balcony is great but if you smoke they will charge u 250 plus dollars and say you smoked in the room even if you don't. And overall if the veiw of the river is what you want and cleanliness isn't a huge concern then this is the place to go. But the water damage on the walls and carpet can't be cleaned so it's kind of a trade off. Wish this place a face-lift because the location is great but the owners must not care. I would be hard pressed to see what a test for germs would produce.
