So I booked a reservation through a 3rd party to stay at this hotel May 5-6th. My flight was cancelled due to Spirit Airlines going bankrupt. I called the hotel to ask the manager for a return approval via my email as requested by the 3rd party website for me to do so I could possibly get a credit. He flat out was like no because he wouldn't be getting his money back from the commission they were paid. The manager has no sympathy for what was going on with my reservation. Ray Taurus told me to tell the 3rd party to call him before he would decided to return the money. I can’t believe people can be so money hungry over a commission. It is so sad. It was one night, it would not have made them bankrupt.

I initially requested a room away from the first floor due to concerns about security. I was placed on the 3rd floor, which seemed fine at first. However, not long after settling in, I began noticing unusual disturbances coming from both adjacent rooms.
The activity was intrusive. From one side Room 308, I heard sounds consistent with some type of audio equipment being activated with heavy static on the Room telephone line. On the other side, Room 312, it sounded like someone was intentionally trying to listen through the wall (at one point resembling the effect of placing an object like a cup against the wall to amplify sound). The combination of these experiences made the environment feel extremely uncomfortable and the continued invasion of my privacy. I documented portions of my stay, including a room check.
Overall, for $200 a night at a shitty hotel where your privacy is violated, you will be recorded & no amenities to counter the felony committed while you stay makes it the best negative experience you’ll have in Queens, NY. I would recommend an investigation but why bother if it’s illegally authorized

On Monday morning around 9:50 AM, the elevator in the building became inoperable. I had left the hotel earlier at 9:00 AM with my husband, who is disabled. Upon our return, we were unable to access our room because he is not able to use the stairs, and the elevator remained out of service for the entire day.
This situation created a serious accessibility issue and made it impossible for us to continue our stay. As a result, we were forced to check out of the hotel earlier than planned.
However, the hotel did reach back out to me and refunded me the remaining balance instead of just keeping it.
