The location is why we picked this hotel. The location for the family wedding was perfect. We booked multiple rooms.
Blood on the sheets, blood in the bathrooms, sand in the sheets, ACs did not work, ice machine did not work, lights in the bathroom did not work, coffee maker was broken with no coffee cups. I can go on.

If I could give zero stars I would. Awful. Don't stay here. We arrived earlier than our scheduled check in and they wanted to charge $55 +tax to check in early/ per room. Also the fee to use the in-room safe was ridiculous. We had 3 rooms reserved. So we waited until check in time. When we actually checked in at the check in time I had a receipt in my email that stated that I had already paid and owed $0 at check in. When I was there they stated that I had not already paid and needed to verify with my bank statement. The receptionist called his "manager" to discuss this issue. He told me that I could pay now and discuss the following day with the "manager" when he was on site. Every time he called the "manager" he was speaking in another language that I could not understand, So I have no idea what they were saying. Um, no. He then suggested that I call Best Western to discuss with them. They were also not helpful and told me to call my bank to see if it was charged.
Upon entering the hotel, we noticed how filthy the floors and furniture were. The floors had multiple stains all over them, they were sticky and our shoes became sticky. The chairs were visibly dirty and the end tables had what looked like melted and then solidified ice cream stains on them. I notified the front desk and they did clean it by bringing wipes over and smearing the yuck around, not really cleaning.
Of our 3 rooms, two were doubles and one was a king room. The first double room we had to change rooms because the aroma of weed was so strong in the room. The replacement room for that was better smelling but the beds had sand in them and the floors were dirty. Our feet were black from the walk from the shower to the bed. The second double room didn't have any body wash/shampoo/conditioner. The containers were there but they were empty. It was also noticed that there was blood on the sheets of one of the beds and had a faint smell of cigarettes. The water pressure was awful (in all of the rooms). Outside the King room there was a vending machine with a large sticky yellow stain on the floor. All of the floors in the hotel were visibly dirty. I asked them to clean the large sticky mess and it was not taken care of until the next day. In the King room we didn't have any towels. So we had to call to get fresh towels. In the bathroom there were chunks of something on the opposite wall from the toilet. The ironing board didn't stay standing, which could be a hazard because someone could get burned easily or if someone isn't paying attention the iron could hit the floor and cause a fire.
I would not recommend anyone to stay here. And I'm very disappointed in Best Western as a company for allowing their property to look like this and the way they handled the initial payment situation. Do Better Best Western.

Gladys at the front desk was outstanding. When my AC wasn’t working, she quickly put me in a new room. Other front desk attendants were not great. The room was adequate, The bed was comfortable. The neighborhood was quaint and relatively quiet.
DO NOT STAY HERE. If zero stars was an option, I would rate it that. It was literally the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Pretty sure there’s some sort of scam going on here, lots of misinformation about the payment. We payed before we arrived and had it in a receipt but they claimed we had not, so if we wanted to get into the rooms we had to pay again and dispute it later… super weird. Filthy everywhere, dirt on the floors, sand in the bed, rooms (yes, multiple rooms) that smelled of weed, cigarette smoke, sewage, and god knows what else. My feet turned black from walking on the floor in the room after showering (where there was mold). One of the pillows had blood on it as well. The lobby floors, tables, and chairs look like they’ve never been cleaned We asked them to clean multiple messes and they just half Clorox wiped them and smudged around the mess rather than cleaning it. Our shoes were sticky every time we walked around outside of the room. No soap in the showers, no towels in the room (had to ask for them). As I’m writing this, watched the employee vacuum the lobby and it spit out more dirt than it sucked up. I attached just a few photos of examples of the complete and utter filth that is this hotel.
Sadly this hotel could be a gem. It has a nice location in a good neighborhood, yet the maintenance is sorely neglected. The carpet was dirty in our room, a dark track mark! My son complained that the shower floor was slippery (agreed). The common areas were disgusting with lots of dust, small garbage, leftover food, dirty surfaces, tables in eating area and in a sitting area. Do not walk down the stairs!!! When I complained to the staff, I got a look of indifference and a lack of understanding from them.
Do not waste your money, cost me nearly $1,000. TWO THUMBS DOWN!!
