It was fine for a cheap place to sleep. Conveniently located within easy driving distance of Littleton, Bethlehem, and the White Mountains. Nothing fancy. It wasn't all that clean. The pool was very cold.
Okay stay, the room got great view of the mountains. Pillows are small and a bit weird, room not too clean, found one small roach. Shower was good, hot water and good water pressure. Close to Franconia town.
This location used to be our favorite, away from the main cities with friendly staff. The last few visits to this location, the hospitality just isn’t there. We’re not picky people by any means, and we’ve never complained about questionable stays before but upon arriving this time, we were given a room that just smelled, looked and felt dirty from the bathroom to the main room. The focal problem we had was we brought some groceries and the fridge had an odor (which we assume was the smell in the room) and some sort of yellow-ish gunk on the tray. That, coupled with the other minor issues, was the point we reluctantly decided we needed to ask for a cleaned room, not wanting to inconvenience staff but I could not bring myself to even put our groceries away. A new room was found and we had to wait for it to be cleaned, which we didn’t mind the wait. However we weren’t a fan at the passive aggressive wording of staff about hopefully not complaining about the new room. We said nothing, assuming maybe it was just poor word choice. The new room was much better and you could actually smell the cleaning supplies and the fridge looked much better. It wasn’t until our last day that we had any other complaints. We’ve felt rushed out of another Best Western location before, and at about 9:15 on our final day, we had “do not disturb” on our door as we were packing up and there was a frantic knock from housekeeping wanting to come in before we’ve even checked out (check out time being 11). We hate to feel rushed out and it’s happened at another BW where a big bag of dirty linens and towels were dumped right outside our door. We won’t be going with Best Western for our stays anymore. This time we didn’t even bring it up to staff at check out. We appreciated the switch, but from initial check-in to check-out we never felt welcome, more like an inconvenience. The reason we kept returning to this location was the friendly staff with greetings, smiles, willingness to help, asking how our stay was, the usual hospitality you’d expect — little things that go a long way. We won’t be returning.

The rooms were clean, but the microwave in the room only worked on reheating. Coffee strong. Nice location.

Uhm yeah so a couple of things to say, THE LIGHTS WENT OUT. Yes you heard me right, THE LIGHTS WENT OUT. The hot chocolate was just water, all the other breakfast foods were good though especially the waffles. (yummy) the beds were pretty comfy, the only thing on the tv was shark tank, and golf Tournaments.
