Great place to stay at.
5 stars all the way for Best Western Plus Grand Island Inn & Suites! After unexpectedly getting stranded in Nebraska, the staff here truly went above and beyond to make a stressful situation so much better. Exceptional customer service from start to finish, incredibly clean hotel, and such kind, thoughtful employees.
One gesture that especially meant a lot — they even helped find a vase for my Mother’s Day flowers. 💐 Small act, huge impact. I wish I had the name of wonderful woman working- She was great-May 10 and 11!!
Highly recommend if you’re staying in Grand Island. Thank you again for the kindness and hospitality!y

We were travelling from Michigan to Montana and found this establishment. It is very nice lodging. Rooms are fresh and clean and breakfast also is very nice. After travelling my wife likes to relax by sitting on the bed, knit and watch TV preferably ME TV. ME TV wasn't available and the room as it was configured was too dark to knit while sitting on the bed. I swapped the desk lamps with the lamps between the two queen beds. That was adequate. At breakfast I often get oatmeal. But I could not find any hot water or signs for hot water. I asked a guy cleaning tables and he didnt know either. After a lengthy search we fould this facility has new automated coffee machines that operate using a touch screen. But if you don't touch the screen it is black. Eventually I got to the machine and the hot water. Evidently the machine is set to fill cups with hot water which is way too much for oatmeal.
The hotel itself was nice. The lady that checked me in was super nice. Overall my stay wasn't terrible. But my big complaint is I splurged a litte for my boyfriends birthday so we could do some fun thing GI has to offer. I only stayed the one night but the fact that everytime we used our bathroom we needed a plunger because the toilet would back up. We got told by the front desk that we need to make sure we are double flushing. Why would I double flush when it backs up the first time? So I can be charged for damages. I paid enough to sleep somewhere I had to sit and plunge at toilet. This was my first and last time I ever stay here. $170 was overkill for that experience. Never again!

We were on the tail end of over 12 hours of driving and my wife booked our family a room at the Best Western Plus Grand Island Inn & Suites for the 6 of us. We always stay at the Best Western because we know we will sleep comfortably without too many surprises with the amenities that we appreciate and utilize and generally pleasant staff. On this occasion we were informed that they had moved someone else into the room we had reserved due to a noise complaint. They told us there were no other rooms with beds for 6, but that we could pay for a second room to accommodate all of us or go to their “sister hotel” on the far side of town that was “comparable”. We did pay about 15-20% of the cost in hotel points, which they said we could have put back on our account, and we could pay the same price, which is appreciated. Unfortunately, the “comparable accommodation” was not comparable. It has one less bed, sleeping only 5, so my son is currently sleeping on cushions on the floor. They also do not have an exercise room, so I will be exercising outside in a couple of hours in subfreezing temperatures with 30+ mph winds. I’ve been awake since about 3AM stewing over being misled by this “comparable facility.” We have almost 9 more hours of traveling after a short night sleep. I’ll be extra careful to keep my family safe, but I am frustrated at the flexibility that I have been pushed through due to the facilities misguidance. Hopefully, I can get another hour of sleep. The staff at the alternative location have been great.
