We stayed here for 2 nights with our dog. The property is nice with an inviting pool. Our room was a good size. It was very clean and stocked with what we might need. The continental breakfast was above average. It consisted of Eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, cereals, muffins, bagels, waffles, oatmeal, and yogurt with your choice of 3 fruit toppings. Fresh fruit was also available. All of the staff was very pleasant and informative.
But beware: in the back where the dog park is located, there were 3 bears (mom and 2 cubs) and they were too close for comfort. We just happened to see them as we were taking our dog to the dog area. I know bears are plentiful in Asheville but I think there should be signs to at least alert people that aren’t from there.
But overall, we were very pleased with the area and will stay there again in our next trip to Asheville.
The heavy oder of spray in the room was horrible. Not sure what they were trying to cover up in oder. Staff was extremely kind and professional. The three rooms all had that heavy scent.
We loved this Best Western Asheville - Blue Ridge Parkway. It may have been the best budget hotel we've stayed at over the course of 3 long road trips and over 40 hotels. The view, setting, and appearance of this hotel is awesome, but I'm just getting started. The price is extremely reasonable. We had a super friendly check-in, in which we were given a little gift bag with bottled water. We also found small water bottles and mints in our room. Our room was large and clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower and internet were okay. This hotel gives a lot of attention to detail, and you can tell. Breakfast is in the lobby, separated from the rooms and you need your door key card to get in. We thought that was a great feature. Breakfast was awesome and was also the best on all three of our road trips.
Front desk was great. I enjoyed the breakfast. Room was quiet, but the bed seemed less than great, and there was light coming into the room because the shades did not fully block the outside. (Cigarette?)hole in the bed sheet is not the end of the world, but an indication you’re not paying not $1000 for the room.
Pros: comfortable beds. Very clean room and bathroom. Good size room, good location, complete breakfast, friendly staff
Cons: very thin walls, I hear neighbors all night. Very noisy parking lot. Unfortunately I couldn't sleep because of the noise all 3 nights of my stay. Loud AC unit as well
well.
Overall if you want to stay in budget is not a terrible hotel. But definitely lacking amenities and thin walls and design of the hotel is not ideal for a quite nights
