Don’t waste your time or money at this hotel. I should have left as soon as we encountered our first issue, honestly. Many outlets in the room don’t work (wobbly / no power). There were no towels at the pool - they ran out 2 days in a row by 3:00. We paid for early check in, and had to wait over an hour for our room that should have been ready upon arrival. They never coordinated the return shuttle for us from the dock after a long day at Mackinac. We had issues with the first room they put us in, so they moved us to a ground unit.. HOWEVER, you literally cannot open the slider door going out to the lake or the connecting door that separates the 2 rooms. Never again. Seriously, what a joke.

We stayed for three nights with our family. Overall, it was a nice place to stay with kids, and we really enjoyed the pool area, fire pit, and beach. Those amenities were definitely the highlight of the property.
The rooms, however, could use some updating and were not the cleanest. The beds were also not very comfortable. During our three-night stay, housekeeping never came in to make the beds or clean the room. They did replenish our towels and take out the trash, but that was the extent of the housekeeping service we received.
The location and amenities make it a good option for families, but the rooms and housekeeping could definitely use some improvement.

The beds were definitely not 2 queen sized which is what I paid for. They were tiny, and most likely 2 full sized, so it feels a bit like a scam for the price paid. Bathroom was extremely tiny. Breakfast was OKAY, but mostly what I would expect from a hotel breakfast - I’ve definitely had better at other hotels though. My daughter actually asked if we could skip the hotel breakfast on the 2nd day. The TV was difficult to operate and only had like 10 channels. There were bugs everywhere, but that was expected since we were by the lake. I’d just warn people to bring flying bug spray (you can grab at Dollar General down the street) if it bothers them. The pool didn’t really feel like it was heated but I did like that there was an indoor AND outdoor pool option. There were Stains on “clean” towels we were given. Overall, for the price paid for 2 nights ($750+), I just don’t feel like it was worth it. I would’ve been a lot more lenient if the price was way lower. But this felt more like a cheap motel experience despite being near the lake (beautiful view by the way), and offering a nightly bonfire with s’mores. Staff was also very friendly and I liked being walking distance to the ferries and having a free shuttle service available. But I don’t think I would stay again at the price I paid.

My family and I stayed here in late July 2026 (Monday-Friday) on a family vacation to the area.
The staff, 2 pools, fireplace, and lake views were outstanding and possibly some of the best of all the motels and hotels in town. The room was ok but cramped as the beds seemed more like large fulls than 2 queens. The room didn't have a lot of storage but likely at the cost of it being too cozy. I would recommend removing the table and chairs for more storage and a small chair given there is also a desk. The carpet and decor of the room also seemed to be dating a bit and could use a refresh.
The breakfast was solid and a nice touch as most guests seemed to take advantage of it. It would be nice too see a few more rotating items such as a breakfast sandwich or different meats as some of the food got repetitive. The cereal selection was also poor as only Cheerios and Raisan Brain were offered each day. The coffee, creamer, and waffles were always good.
As for the rest of the hotel this place had the best pools (indoor and outdoor), fireplace and lake view/access. Parking lots however were really cramped as each time we drove it took several point turns to get out.
The hotel location for us was great as it was just a small walk to the ferries. It however would be a bit of a walk downtown.
Overall I would recommend
