  I have been to many hotels, and I have never had such a great experience as i did with this hotel and the entire staff.. they went out of their way to see they my family and I were comfortable and happy.. I will continue to come here. They are like family to us

  Small hometown hotel. Nice clean rooms. Hot breakfast. Reasonable price. Friendly, caring staff members. Only draw back was they closed down the pool, and filled it in with dirt. They plan on building a gazebo in the pool area

  DO NOT STAY, IF YOU HAVE PETS I booked a stay online to visit family. They clearly stated on the website that they were pet friendly. Nothing online mentioned a pet deposit. When we arrive after traveling several hours we are told there would be a charge for the pets but it would get refunded after our stay so as no damage. For being a pet friendly hotel they found every way to make us uncomfortable about us having pets. I am a responsible owner and picked up after my pets. I made sure there was no trace of their presence in my room or on their grounds. We get back home and I called BWVilleplatte about my deposit refund and I was assured by a lady there I would get it back with in two weeks. Still don’t have it. Same charge no refund. Called today and spoke with the Male and he tells me that I got it back. He attempts to gaslight me that I received my deposit back, that it was a pet fee and there for non-refundable. I was scammed out of money that was hoping to use for trip expenses. $100 may not mean much to some people but that money is a big deal to me. The ratings in this place are highly accurate if it’s wasn’t for the perfect location near my family’s property I would have looked at a different hotel. I knew I was in for something horrible when the website advertised a pool and the pool is filled in with some sort of sediment. No pool. They claimed we’re working on it, but that sediment had grass/weeds growing in it. What they were working on was some sort of green house structure that had a questionable odor, the staff liked to hide out there at all hours of the day. The only good thing about this place was the beds. There were comfy. Although, the bathrooms had some remodeling, the tubs/shower was elevated and made it very sketchy to step in and out. Felt like I was going to fall out every time. Their complementary breakfast had stale cereal, low quality fruit, milk expired, and low supply. The juice and waffle maker were the only decent options. There was a construction crew that was staying as well. It seemed they catered more to that crew than to the rest of their customers. I tried to reason with the Male about their policies and proper training of his staff so as to not incite these similar problems in the future but he kept talking over me. He didn’t care about my experience. He got my money and was going to do everything necessary to keep it. I hope they see this review. You sir are heartless and absurd. Terrible management. This location does NOT live up to the hype. Will not stay here ever again or do business with Best Western unless reviews are 4 stars and Higher with glowing recent reviews.

  Discrimination of people with disabilities. No elevators. No internet. Rooms are dirty. Room service comes at random days and times (as someone who needed to stay for a few months). Have to ask for clean towels and bedding. They will place blame on you for everything that falls apart in your room. Make the drive and stay in Opelousas instead if you can!

  Had a pleasant Stay here The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious with a good mix of hot and cold item. Everything was well organizing and enjoyable. Internet is too working to fast. Big TV with the Internet using app very enjoyable stay
