Check-in went fast and the guy was helpful in directing us on how to get to our room and where the elevator was.
Perry, the breakfast guy, was really patient with our kids. Real hearty breakfast options: eggs, seasoned potatoes, and sausage patties. He informed us about the railroad museum in town.
This would be a great place for extended family to meet and hangout.
The location was easy to get to. It was a well kept facility and nice layout, with a courtyard. It's an older hotel, but you can see that they have updated many things.
The staff was very helpful and attentive. They had a small selection of snacks and drinks for purchase, which is nice if you don't feel like driving anymore.
They had a good variety of items for breakfast. The breakfast room was clean and organized well. There was a staff member there to make sure things didn't run out and that it was kept clean.
The only thing we found challenging was the lack of outlets by the beds. There was only one receptacle on a lamp between the beds. We had a couple of cpap machines to plug in and it would have also been nice to plug our phones in to charge by the beds. We did find another outlet behind one of the beds, but it wasn't easy to get to. There are other plug ins throughout the room, so we eventually found a spot for everything. But adding a small power strip or even an alarm clock with extra outlets to the bedside table would be a relatively inexpensive update that I think would make a big difference for guests.
Overall I would recommend the hotel! I am glad we decided to drive a little farther outside of Peoria and found this place!

People were nice, rooms were painted but set up is far removed from modern. Outlets are limited, on wall as high teenager or hidden by wall lamps. Lucky for me I had extension cords and specified outlet adapters. I couldn't imagine trying to share 3 or more kids electronics on top of the parents stuff. Parking is ok..towels vary we had pool side towels while our neighbors actually had what average person in the usa considers a bath towel. Give you an idea i am 5'10" 210lbs wearing 36 inch waist pants. The towel looked like i was trying to fit in a teenagers skirt when attempted to wrap the waist. It was soaked when I was done not wet, soaked and i have no head on my hair.. Its ok to stay one night if you are in a bind but it was over 200 after taxes and not worth the cost in my opinion. I should have driven on another 30 miles for more options that didn't make it a challenge to get comfortable and relax. Especially when your mattress is an rv short queen and lumpy.I like Hampton inn, garden inn and been to plenty good best westerns. Honestly its stuck in 1985 with different paint job in my opinion.

VERY RACIST TO BLACK AMERICANS!!!
Purchased a Room through Expedia under a reasonable price. Checked in a little after 4 PM but didn’t arrive to the room until later that night so I didn’t get a real good picture of my room number next day go for breakfast. My seven-year-old drop my room key card. There was a guy in there dressed up in regular clothes a tennis hat, flip-flops in regular streetwear claiming he was the manager of the property he picked my card showed my room key to another individual.( A White women) And didn’t show the room key to me.
But kept asking what’s my room number so I asked him what’s his concern and he stated show me your room key and as I go look for my room key The lady told me that he picked the room key up. so I told him sir you have my room key. Fast-forward, I had to call the police Have them meet me at the hotel because now he don’t want me to have access to my hotel room Nor I didn’t even get a chance to enjoy my breakfast. MIND YOU THE NIGHT BEFORE I JUST HAS TO BURY MY LONG TERM PARTNER/KIDS FATHER THE NIGHT BEFORE. With all of this being confirmed that I did have a room I get a call four days later stating that I’m officially banned from best Western. The disrespect from the manager, he showed no sympathy nor respect. The hotel is dirty, it had roaches, the pool area was filthy, and BREAKFAST WAS VERY COLD’ NEVER AGAIN!

This is a very large hotel that is spread out across a big space with a courtyard in the middle. Reminded me a bit of a renovated senior center turned hotel with the lay out. The space is outdated, but clean and comfortable. Our shower faucet came off when we tried to use it, but I contacted the front desk and he was able to come up and fix it within 10 minutes. He even offered to give us a different room if we had any other problems.
TV was a bit confusing. The guide listed about 46 channels, but nothing worked past 25.
The breakfast was surprisely good and had a lot of nice options in a large clean restaurant type dining area. Much better than most places I've stayed.
A larger than normal pool with an actual deep end about 8 feet deep.
I'm not a gambling fan so the line of slots at the check-in area is a bit of an eyesore, but I'm sure some people find that nice.
