I don’t usually take the time to leave reviews, but Will absolutely deserves one. From the moment we walked in, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He was friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to care that we had a great stay. Check-in was quick and easy, and he took the time to answer all of our questions while making us feel like valued guests instead of just another reservation.
Throughout our stay, every interaction with him was positive. His attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to help really stood out. It’s rare to come across someone who takes so much pride in customer service, and it made a huge difference in our experience.
The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, but the outstanding service from Will is what we’ll remember most. Employees like him are the reason people come back. If you’re staying at the Best Western in East Peoria, I hope you get the chance to meet him—you’ll be in great hands.
Elevator was working/not working and staff didn't seem to care... we are mid 70's and couldn't bring out luggage down 2 sets of stairs without Elevator and staff didn't want to help..
Buffet was OK with what was left after the three teams cleaned it out..
Ran out of hot water, assured some kid turned it on and left it.
Rowdy kids in pool and breakfast with parents not seeming to care.
I booked a room for 6/12/26 - 6/17/26. I have stayed here several times in the past. The room was ready when I arrived. That's about the only good thing I have to say about this stay.
The room was dirty and dreary (painted semi-gloss, battleship/jail cell grey.) WiFi never worked for more than 30 seconds at a time. TV (satellite?) kept locking up and was virtually unwatchable. Breakfast was ok, but only had meats (sausage/bacon) on certain days. Windows leaked and rain dripped in.
I started complaining after the first night and always received the same answer. "We have been purchased by a new owner and will be upgrading soon," to which I replied "How does that help me now?" After the third night I got to speak with the current manager, who promised me that if I checked out, she would refund the money for my stay. I felt this was fair and immediately packed up and checked out. During check out I was told that I would only be refunded for the balance of my unused stay. I was so happy to get out of there I accepted with the promise that I would take the matter up with Best Western Corporate in the future.
I rarely post negative reviews. I try to find the positive in every situation and come to a reasonable resolution wherever possible. In this case, I would have complained at half the price. There are too many decent places to stay in the area and I only stayed there because of positive experiences in the past. I can not explain how this lodging has so many positive reviews, unless they are several years old.
I highly recommend you stay at one of the other establishments in the area.
The price we paid to stay here was astronomical. Rooms were disgusting. We only stayed here because we were forced to for a baseball tournament. Only good thing was the amazing staff, they were all super nice and friendly. Hotel is extremely outdated. Breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast ever. Shower was horrible. Carpets were stained. Rooms were smelly and damp. Bathroom door was broken. Walls were sticky and stained.

The hotel & rooms specifically are dated.
When we arrived at 8 pm to check-in, my wife's credit card had already been charged for the entire stay prior to our arrival.
I asked why, and stated that is fraud unless it is clearly stated, for the physical credit card is to be presented and the person needs to provide ID and the card needs to have a signature on it.
Typically, my wife reserves our rooms with her credit card and I check us in with my corporate card when we arrive; at which time I present my ID and credit card.
I asked the attendant when my wife's card was charged. She answered this morning, in the event it is declined.
I reiterated the law about the card being present at the time of check-in and presenting an ID to verify the card. Then requested the manager, which will not be here until Saturday.
