We booked the Four king bed room. Tons of room for a family with 5 kids, one kid had his whole bed to himself. Didn’t think it mattered when I booked on Expedia how many kids I put in my search as long as we had enough beds, I hate having to fill out all the ages and just want to see what’s available. When we got there the lady counted the extra kids and charged me $10 more per kid over 12 even though we didn’t need any extra beds or accommodations. I read no where this was a rule. In fact it says rollaway beds are $10 per night. We didn’t need any! Seriously four king beds.

We needed a place to stay for the night and booked online because BW has alwaysbeen good to us as my husband is a Veteren. We got to the Best Western in Caldwell Id to check in and the front desk attendant very rudely told my husband that they"Have a policy , they don't 'allow locals' at this location". Then proceeded to toss her managers card at my husband and told him to call the manager and he'd deal with it. It's now 11pm in Caldwell Idaho and my hubs and I have no place to sleep. I am just glad our kids are older because with young ones this would have been an even bigger nightmare!! We are not happy with the way Best Western has handled it thus far.

We didn’t stay. It was the customer service at the front desk that was horrible. Due to a close friend passing we had to change the dates. We decided to stay in a different place and split the cost since other were coming in. When I tried to talk to the lady about it she was beyond rude and hung up, saying we would get charge because I can’t provide the cancellation verification. I accepted that (although I don’t believe it’s right since I never received a cancellation verification) but she hung up on me. I called back and asked if I could get a cancellation confirmation of the rest of the stay and she rudely stated I would have proof when I was charged for the first night.
Then you they charged another $100 to my card, credited everything back, then charged the one night again. The bank froze my card for potential fraud all weekend and won’t be open till Monday. Im pissed to put it mildly.

Very poor customer service. Extremely rude staff and General Manager. My family has stayed at many Best Westerns and have never been treated so poorly. We travel year around for sports and absolutely will not be staying with Best Western in Caldwell Id ever again. I give them a -10 customer service rating and would not recommend using there services. Motel 6 will treat you better.
To top things off, with out my consent you pulled another $100 out of my bank account for incidentals. Thats $407.00 taken out of my bank account for a room I canceled less then a day after I booked. I spoke with Best Western customer relations, they felt the funds should be reimbursed. But the GM over rid there decision and said nope that's this families fault they should have read the fine print. I tried to stay 2 nights but you guys did not have the availability to accommodate the number of kids I had in my party. Kids who were staying in Caldwell for a youth baseball tournament.
This Best Western and their GM absolutely stuck it to me and my family. They could have easily stopped the charge before it went through, they chose not to do the right thing, then have the nerve to take another $100 out of my bank account for incidentals, when I never checked in to the hotel. This has been the worst treatment I have ever received from any business. I have already notified my entire baseball family of the experience and will let all of my sports family back home know aswell. We travel year around for sports and will never stay in any Best Western again. Just last year alone my family and I stayed with Best Westerns around 5 times. I will most definitely take my business elsewhere and make sure everyone I know is notified of this businesses lack of hospitality.
You robbed my family of $407 dollars. Your representative advised me to cancel my one large room and book two small rooms, to accommodate the number of guests I had. I did cancel my room, but found a bigger room that would accommodate the number of guests I had for the weekend at a different hotel. For that reason you chose to steal $407 from my family. That was a miss communication from your representative. There was a time when good business and hospitality meant something, apparently Best Western Caldwell no longer meets those standards.

The hotel is next to a car wash so we heard the vacuums all day. Our room smelled like it was rotting with body odor, called the front desk and they came and sprayed cleaner that did not help, ended up finding that it was the refrigerator in the room that had an awful smell that was making the entire room smell. It was unbearable, we called the front desk hoping to move to a different room but all they offered was to remove the refrigerator. We ultimately decided to leave that morning but were told we would still be charged for the following days stay. We absolutely were not going to continue to stay in this unbearably smelly room and the front desk offered terrible service, after demanding I would not pay for another day the front desk was able to credit me for the second day but then continued to rush us out of our room when we told them we needed time to pack up. I have never experienced such awful service nor stayed in an equally awful hotel. There are better options down the street.
