  Location was great. But as a frequent traveler I feel like this industry needs help. instead of leaving quality and service up to reviews there needs to be a clear distinction between what we call hotels vs motels nowadays. Am I wrong for thinking a “Hotels” should have a bit more luxurious feel to it.? Things like in room service, robes/slippers, spas, gym room, and just overall clean central air was just a few basics if you were to be even considered a hotel level. Today a bed in a room and tv for $250 per night is considered a hotel. This is not ok. And yes I also agree with the saying, you get what you pay for.

  I recently stayed at the Best Western Savannah Historic District, and it turned out to be one of the most convenient and enjoyable hotel experiences I’ve had in downtown Savannah. The location alone is worth five stars — you’re literally steps from River Street, the waterfront, the historic squares, and dozens of restaurants, bars, and shops. Being able to walk everywhere without needing a car made exploring the city incredibly easy and stress‑free. The staff here deserves special mention. Every interaction I had was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The front desk team was quick with recommendations, directions, and check‑in support, and the housekeeping staff kept things running smoothly. You can tell the employees take pride in making guests feel comfortable. My room was clean, well‑maintained, and equipped with everything I needed for a stay. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked perfectly (important in Savannah’s humidity), and the Wi‑Fi was reliable for both work and streaming. I appreciated plenty of outlets. The decor is simple but modern enough, and the room felt safe and quiet despite being in a lively part of town. The included breakfast was a nice bonus — plenty of options, fresh items, and a clean dining area. The hotel also has a fitness center and a pool, which were great for unwinding after walking the city all day. Parking is available on-site, which is extremely convenient for downtown Savannah. If you’re sensitive to noise, it’s worth noting that the hotel sits near busy streets and nightlife, so you may hear some activity depending on your room location. It wasn’t a problem for me, but it’s something to keep in mind. Overall, though, the hotel felt safe, comfortable, and well-managed.In terms of value, this hotel delivers. You get walkability, friendly service, clean rooms, and solid amenities at a fair price for the area. Whether you’re visiting Savannah for sightseeing, food, nightlife, or history, this hotel puts you right in the middle of everything. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, well-located place in the historic district.

  Recepcionista bem antipática . O quarto tinha um cheiro esquisito (acho que era mofo). O depósito caução era maior que o valor da própria diária, e só nos devolveram depois que acionamos o booking.com (e ainda nao devolveram integralmente, descontaram algo sem a menor explicação)

  Worse best western I have ever stayed at! Had to have our room changed after the first night. Had huge fans in the room blowing on the wet carpet from the messed up air conditioner the room smelled of mold, and there were bugs laying all over the floor. went to the second room. The next day the room was a little better, but still had an awful smell. It was not a very good experience at all. Would not recommend this hotel. would’ve been a lot better if it actually looked like what the Internet said it looked like. And never have I ever had to pay separate parking to stay at that motel. Parking is usually included in the stay! Nowhere on the Internet when we booked it said that parking wasn’t included.

  This is a standard hotel that you would expect for the price. Our most important criteria is cleanliness. On this front it is important to understand this is an older pet friendly hotel with carpet. We dont expect miracles. It appeared acceptable, but there was a mild musty smell which would have been okay, then there was a wet spot on the carpet between the beds. Still not sure what it was but it turned socks brown. The bathroom was clean and the rest of the room was good. We did have a little beetle bug in the bathroom in the morning. The beds were clean and comfortable. We were on the first floor in the front and didnt have an issue with noise. Note that it was a Sunday night. The breakfast was just your standard breakfast with scrambled eggs and a waffle machine that you will find anywhere. There was nothing that made it stand out. There was plenty of room to sit, but I didn't like that the serving area was very small and crowded. The main highlight was the location and the service. The desk clerk was great and friendly. Excellent location just two streets above the river walk on the west end. What's the bottom line? Well if you are looking for a bargain property and understand the issues then this is the place to pick. If those things concern you it is worth the extra cost to upgrade to a better property. If we were staying for more than one night we would definitely do that.
