I think this hotel is getting far higher reviews than it deserves. I'll keep it brief. The positives are clearly the location, and the staff are friendly.
- Toilets that block and leak from what can only be described as fair usage. With no plunger in sight I had to use towels and leave them a problem on check out. Quite an embarrassing experience and not something I'd wish on anyone.
- Bathroom floor, bath and sink were dirty on arrival. I used the towels and soap to clean up.
- A/C looks like it's from 1987. Sounds like it's from 1974.
- The doors connecting each room let far too much sound through. I could hear the TV from the adjacent room very loudly from 3/4am.
- No main light in the room. Just a load of annoying lamps
- Extortionate hotel shop. A bottle of water cost me $7.99. Not even an exaggeration.
- Very poor hotel restaurant. Should have realised that by seeing it had no customers on our first night.
While I'm writing this I would also say that the bed is comfortable. The view if you're staying at the front of the building is also nice.

Minha experiência no Best Western Orlando Gateway Hotel foi muito positiva. O hotel tem ótima localização, quartos confortáveis, limpeza impecável e uma equipe sempre cordial e prestativa.
Gostaria de fazer um agradecimento especial ao Ivo, que nos atendeu com muita simpatia, profissionalismo e atenção durante nossa estadia. Além de nos receber muito bem, ele nos deu excelentes dicas sobre Orlando, o que fez toda a diferença para aproveitarmos ainda mais a viagem.
Parabéns a toda a equipe pelo excelente trabalho. Com certeza voltarei e recomendarei o hotel a amigos e familiares.
I had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Orlando Gateway Hotel. The hotel has a great location, comfortable rooms, excellent cleanliness, and a friendly, helpful staff.
I would especially like to thank Ivo, who provided outstanding service throughout our stay. He was welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind. He also shared excellent tips about Orlando that helped us make the most of our trip.
Congratulations to the entire team for the excellent hospitality. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Orlando.

This place is so deceiving and so unprofessional. I talk to someone, after booking my reservation, and told them I wanted nothing to do with the timeshare. I have an email with an order number and what it was going to cost me with my dates and the thank you, it looked like my confirmation email. I decided to look into booking a cabana a few days before our trip. As it turns out, my reservation was never fully committed and booked. Even though I'd already talked to somebody on the phone after booking online. They told me that I had never fully committed. 2 days before we're supposed to leave and go on vacation and we don't have a room and they're fully booked. I have an order number and an email that looks like my confirmation. Because I did not want to participate in the timeshare, they booted me out. I had to scramble 2 days before our vacation to find some place to accommodate my family. I will never ever use them again! Worst customer service ever. Do yourselves a favor and book at the Grove resort instead. They were extremely friendly and took care of us.

My family and I stayed at this Best Western for a few days while we were on vacation. Everything was good but there could be some improvements. The AC unit was not circulating properly and the air would be warm at times. We were unable to make calls from the room phone to the front desk. So we used our cell phones or walked to the lobby. Also, I inquired about the shuttle schedule for the parks and realized that you have to sign up early in the day prior to departure. It would be great if they offered multiple signups throughout the day. We met some kind staff members that helped us during our visit especially Ms. Carol. She was very kind, helpful, and willing to go above and beyond! Thank you very much. We need more people like her 💗

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. I booked my stay because it is a Universal Orlando partner hotel, but due to a mix-up, my reservation was canceled without any notification. In fact, I received confirmation emails from both the hotel and the third-party booking site, so I had no reason to believe there was an issue.
Instead of being helpful and accommodating, the front desk staff were rude, cold, and condescending. When I asked about making a new reservation, the agent insisted that the only room available was a deluxe room that cost nearly twice what I had originally booked. After traveling for hours, I asked if the room could be held while I contacted the third-party booking company, but I received no assistance.
To make matters worse, I later found more affordable rooms available online, despite being told the hotel was sold out except for the expensive room. When the third-party booking company tried to call the hotel on my behalf, the front desk agent refused to answer. I also noticed several guests ahead of me experiencing reservation problems, which made the situation even more concerning. When I asked another front desk employee about lower-priced rooms, an older agent quickly interrupted the conversation, leaving me with the impression that I was being pressured into paying for a more expensive room.
The lack of communication, poor customer service, and dishonest handling of the situation were completely unacceptable. Once I was finally able to speak with the third-party booking company, I requested to be moved to another hotel.
