  To begin I first booked my reservation on booking.com and was unaware of a $100 deposit until I arrived. Before checking in they were already charging my card for $124….mind you the room came out to $138. I received an email that was saying I had to update my card within an hour or my room would be canceled. I had my card locked because why are you guys charging my card and i haven’t even arrived? I checked in at 4:00 which check in was after 3 anyway. After the woman at the desk told my husband the total was $238 he came out to get me since I told him a different price. I came to ask the woman how come it was $100 more and she had a bit of an attitude and said “I already told him it was a $100 deposit since you booked through a third party I’m not sure if it was on the site to explain a deposit”. After paying we get to the room and we see roaches on the wall and the floor. We checked the bed and see hair under the covers and stains on the sheets. After complaining that’s when the woman wants to act sincere and apologize but yes that’s the experience we had. We did get a better room but it was loud throughout the night since we were near the side door. AC was also loud through the night. The day we are leaving is when the toilet decides to get clogged up and doesn’t flush.

  Amazing service from checkin to check out. Dennis was amazing and got us in easy when our reservation didn't come thru. Will definitely be back! Thank you.

  Visited Ocala a week ago and had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful employee by the name of ladrela. We joked about how we had the same last name, when I tell you she was a joy during breakfast and also when she was at the front desk. Very friendly comforting and polite!! I told her to look for me because I’ll be coming back and staying at best western everytime Im in Ocala. She helped my stay be a joy in a hard time. Thanks ladrela and thanks best western

  My experiences staying at the Ocala Best Western varies. We stay often. The rooms are clean. I would stay the upper floors are most quiet and nice. I would recommend higher quality mattresses. Definitely better more up to date shower heads. Travelers want good beds and good showers. The bedding could be better... but it's ok. It would be great to offer smart TV Netflix and such. The rooms are nice size and painted nicely. Breakfast is normal for this hotel chain. The later in the day front desk staff is much nicer and helpful then the man earlier in the morning. These small updates would make a huge difference in the experience at this location.

  I have an employee who has been attending training classes in Ocala over the last few months. Each time I booked his stay at this hotel. After each visit I asked him how it was and he had very positive things to report. Both of us have had interaction with front desk member Dennis and he was great. Very personable, willing to help and professional. Excellent customer service, Dennis! I would recommend this hotel to someone needing a stay in the area.
