  Not great, but not bad. Well located so ideal for visiting family nearby, where we only spent any time in the room to sleep. Rooms are dated and a bit run down. Fixtures and fittings in the room looked tired, particularly the bathroom which was not the nicest. However the beds were super comfortable and very big, we slept really well here.

  If you have the opportunity to stay at another similarly priced hotel in the area, I would strongly recommend doing that. The rooms here are very mediocre, though at least clean. The sound insulation is awful, so if you do stay here, I’d definitely recommend requesting a room on the upper floor. On my last night, I called around 8 PM to ask if I could switch rooms because of the noise from upstairs. The front desk employee told me they could not move me because it was “too late” and that “guests are allowed to make noise at this hour.” I explained that I had already stayed here for the previous three nights and knew how disruptive the noise was due to the thin walls and ceilings, not because the guests upstairs were doing anything unreasonable. Unfortunately, there was no willingness to work with me on a solution. Our group booked four rooms for 3–4 nights, so I honestly expected better customer service and at least some effort to accommodate the request, even if it meant moving me to a different room type. One other thing to note: the location itself is decent, but because of the freeway layout, getting to businesses directly across the street often requires driving in a long 10-minute loop.

  I've judged the book by it's cover unfortunately. This Best Western in San Juan Capistrano is OFF the Richter with customer service, housekeeping, and the GM Peter is Superb indeed. I don't recommend the Best Western in Forney, Texas (bed bugs, sticky floors, dust, dormant, and NOT maintained satisfactorily.

  Alyssa is such a delight. From the moment we checked in, we felt welcomed and relaxed. Ask for the renovated rooms (not balcony) and kick your shoes off. Daily housekeeping, breakfast, and a great sun facing pool make for a great time. Be sure to book through best western directly to get the best rate and welcome snacks.
