  Parking was an issue, but the hotel is an old building which has character. The room I stayed in was economical and thifty and the bathroom was tiny, but plenty of storage though with 2 closets.

  We stayed 3 nights at the The Cartwright Hotel and overall had a really good experience. The hotel was comfortable, and almost everyone was very polite, friendly, and welcoming. The only issue was the receptionist named Tai. She was extremely rude and unprofessional, with a very bad attitude for no reason. Honestly, she seemed like she has no understanding of hospitality or how to treat guests. Everyone else was super kind and made the stay enjoyable.

  Comfortable city hotel close to Union Square shops and restaurants. Rooms are usually compact but cozy. Travel tip: Ask for a room facing the inner courtyard if you are sensitive to street noise at night.

  Great location. Cool historic building. Josh at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

  I enjoyed my stay at The Cartwright Hotel! The location was perfect to explore the Union Square area of the city and very accessible with public transit. My room was really cute and clean. The staff was always friendly and willing to help. During my stay, I dropped a necklace pendant down the drain overnight and the staff called maintenance to my room the next day to unhook the drain and they were able to retrieve my pendant for me. They went above and beyond and it meant a lot because that necklace is important to me. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area!
