  The location is perfect and the service was absolutely amazing! The only downsides were that the room lacked a main ceiling light, making it quite dark, and the window wasn’t easy to open (though it might just have been us not figuring it out), which meant we couldn’t get much fresh air. Overall still a good stay!

  This was a pleasant place to stay on my road trip from Portland, Oregon to Lake Tahoe. It was surprisingly quiet, considering how close it is to I-5. It was a bit pricey, but it is California. Even so, I would stay here again next time I am passing through or visiting this area. There are lots of hiking options in the area that are worth exploring further.

  We spent one night at this lovely hotel. The room was clean and had everything we needed. It’s located right off of the highway and a few minutes from restaurants, coffee shops, etc. The staff was friendly and efficient. We’d stay here again.

  Honestly, I expected more from this place for the price. For two nights it was almost 800$. The Mountain View was just ok. The staff wasn’t anything to brag about. The power went out in the night for hours, my family and I didn’t get good sleep, when I talked to the front desk about it she said she didn’t even hear about it happening. The room didn’t feel that clean and there was hair on the shower wall. If I go back to Mount Shasta, we won’t stay here.

  I am disappointed that my feedback was not addressed with a proposed resolution or compensation. The issues we encountered significantly impacted our family trip, specifically: - Check-in Delays: A 40-minute wait despite completing the web check-in in advance. - Staffing Issues: No staff available at the front desk during both check-in and checkout. - Maintenance: No hot water in our room on May 9th, which caused further delays and disrupted our travel plans. - Room Amenities: A lack of basic amenities, such as reusable ceramic or glass mugs. These were more than minor inconveniences, especially when traveling with children. We chose Best Western expecting reliable service and a comfortable stay, which was not our experience.
