Nice spot, has everything you need. Good location, 7 min drive to beach. Lots of restaurants around. Pool and hot tub, nice breakfast. Price was good too.

Very friendly and professional staff. Chrissy at the front desk was great and assisted us with our requests. The hotel was near the beach attractions.

Hello Best Western Surf City Management,
We stayed at your hotel on a friday.. We booked through the reservations line that gets transferred from your hotel when no answers and booked two rooms. We were already driving to California when we were making the reservation, as well. The reservationist confirmed three times on the phone with me that both are rooms TOTAL not each were $281 for the night.
When we arrived to the hotel it was already late and we had traveled with our family for the second room. The front desk employees name was Matthew and was very rude and unprofessional towards us. He laughed and said no you are wrong both rooms are $281 each and that the reservation system lied to us. We were not happy with their demeanor as we were told and confirmed 3 times that it was $281 total for both rooms.
It was late at night and we were all very tired and checked in. Once we entered both rooms it smelled awful. One room smelled like urine and the other room smelled like sewage. The sheets were stained with black and we took pictures. We went back to the front desk and Matthew told us there is nothing he can do about any of it. He stated the manager would be in at 8am tomorrow
The second room was paid for by my family we were staying with. The front desk refunded them and refused to refund our room. I explained this was a family trip and we didn’t want to split up and Matthew refused to refund our room. This makes no sense. We tried calling customer relations after this interaction and the agent on there was very rude and wouldn’t let me finish explaining our experience, constantly interrupted me, telling me she is corporate, and telling me that all she could offer was reward points. I tried to explain to her this doesn’t help me with night stay and being able to stay with my family. The call got disconnected and she stated all she could do was upgrade my rewards and it ended.
Once we checked out in the morning I asked the lady at the front desk to speak to the manager. This was around 9am. She told me there is none and to email the front desk. Every interaction I had with your front desk was rude, didn’t treated us not like a guest, and was wrong information. I tried to explain to the lady at the front desk in the morning and she told me don’t book through the reservation line, you need to call us, they are always wrong. I did call the hotel and it transfers automatically when no one answers.
The service and unprofessionalism from the staff is not acceptable. No one tried to help resolve and at least say sorry.
We want to be refunded for our room. I have already made a ticket that was sent to your hotel through corporate. The ticket is #41153. From every experience to booking, resolving, and trying to speak to the manager no one helped us. This is unacceptable for a customer service business. We wanted to have a nice stay with our family and this ruined the whole experience

We came out about three months ago to stay at this hotel. They were accommodating. They were pleasant. They were nice. They had breakfast for us. They had a swimming pool with a Jacuzzi. The rooms were immaculate clean the grounds were amazing. It was easy to get in and get out of close to the beach. I’m gonna stay there definitely every time I come to Huntington Beach. That’s my home away from home.

My family and I used to love to come here for about 15 years.. But our last visit, another family made a fake complaint about us having a party in our hotel room. And when we were going to return they treated us terribly- hung up the phone saying we're banned, they were so rude and unprofessional. They won't speak to us and won't listen to us or investigate the situation. We were very hurt and confused. Based off their treatment we are very glad to never stay there again. My family and I are all adult women and my mom is half paralyzed from a brain tumor plus multiple other medical issues. We are a very respectable family and the staff has treated us terribly. We went out for new years eve, returned maybe around 2 am, walked back up to our room and crashed out exhausted from the day-- We NEVER had a party. We can't even sleep with the tv volume up very loud.. We went right to sleep. But someone else said we were partying , They also told us they had to give the family a refund-- so they were cheated out of someone else paying because that family made up a story lol. So jokes on them, they will never get our business again and we went once/ twice a year- and someone got a free stay. We were innocent in this and tried multiple times to speak to someone to resolve this. But they have been very NASTY to us. This is disgraceful for Best Western, and has left such a bad taste in our mouth we don't want to do business with this hotel anymore anyway. But this is the truth to the situation and I wanted it out there to know how the staff has acted. I don't know how a business could treat their customers - let alone treat anyone the way they have treated us.. what a shame to represent Best Western in the way they are. There was one staff member, Chris and she was very sweet. She, my mom and I had probably about a 30 minute conversation one morning when she was giving us breakfast bags- due to the normal breakfast room being under construction. She told us to remember her name like "Christmas". And she was excited to see us again... Well she was the only nice Person. We tried to reach her to let her know what was going on - and they wouldn't let us speak to her. Lol this treatment is so bizarre.
