To start, they charge $15 a night for parking? I was unaware of this so besides already paying a large amount for my stay here I also had to pay for my car to stay here as well! Then the rooms are like a 3-10 the beds weren't bad and the ac was good but they only gave us 1 1/2 roll of toilet paper for our 4 day stay and the shower curtain looked dirty as well and for SOME REASON I kept finding my do not disturb sign outside my door on the ground every night I got back to the room. I personally DONT like the staff coming into my room but I expect there be enough of what we need for our stay so we won't bother anyone or anyone bother us on our stay. Maybe they didn't like that we had our do not disturb sign the whole time we were there but it seem weird it would be on the ground in the same spot in the same way. If I need something I'll reach out but it literally seemed they gave us a room that someone previously had gave it a quick refresh and on to us next.
I thought it would be a good experience especially being so close to Disneyland but next time we come to LA I'll look elsewhere for sure! Not the best experience it felt dirty and weird being there and there was a GIANT COCKROACH inside our room on the wall by our window and bunch of spiders and spider web outside our door!

Past experiences at this hotel have always been great, which is why this stay has been so disappointing.
The room we were assigned smelled like raw sewage from the moment we checked in. It was so strong that it honestly smelled like someone had used the bathroom and it had never been cleaned. I immediately went to the front desk and was told the hotel was sold out, so moving rooms wasn't an option.
The next morning, I spoke with the person working the front desk who identified herself as the manager on duty. To be honest, I initially wasn't even sure she worked there. She appeared very disheveled and unprofessional, which didn't inspire much confidence that my concerns would be taken seriously. When I asked if there was any room spray or anything that could help with the odor, she simply told me to ask housekeeping.
When I asked the housekeeping staff, they spoke to each other in Spanish, not realizing I speak Spanish. They mentioned that this particular room has had repeated odor issues and that the smell is most likely related to a plumbing problem.
If the hotel already knows this room has an ongoing sewage odor, why is it still being rented to guests? As a Diamond Select member, I expected much better treatment than being placed in a room with a known issue.
Housekeeping said they would send a houseman, but no one ever came. After waiting, I had to call the front desk again. About an hour later, someone finally arrived and poured a liquid into the toilet before leaving. Unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem. We left for Disneyland hoping the room would air out while we were gone. I even left the window cracked and the A/C running. When we returned that evening, the sewage smell was just as bad. I ended up opening the windows again and using my own expensive perfume just to make the room tolerable enough to sleep in.
To make matters worse, the evening front desk staff was unable to help and didn't even know how to transfer me to the manager's voicemail.
At that point, writing this review seemed like the only way to make my concerns known. We only needed the room to sleep, and Stovall's, was fully booked, or we would have left.
This is supposed to be Best Western, not a budget motel. A room with a known plumbing and sewage odor should never be rented until the issue is permanently fixed. I truly hope management addresses this problem so future guests don't have the same experience.
Here for vid con 2026 and this place has been awesome. Walking distance from the Convention center and Disney. Denny's is next door and the breakfast is complimentary for 2. Super clean! My family of 3 slept great.
Stayed here for a convention.
The Excellent:
- Service is amazing. Arrive early and a room isn't available? Don't worry they can bag check!
- Morning Service: Rather than them serving breakfast, they give you a Dennys voucher, and also a 'breakfast bag'. The bag includes a bottled water, a fruit, a granola bar, and a pastry. I really loved the bag as someone who doesn't each much in the morning, but does snack throughout the day. The water tasted good, and I appreciated having it at the conference.
The Good
- Location: Pretty close to Disney, a bit further away from the convention center though. Not going to lie, after day three of walking, I was ready to not walk anymore! But if walking is your thing, or you want to save a dime, the location is decent.
- Beds/room service: Beds where comfortable, and not lumpy. I always came back to a spotless room.
- Fridge/Clothing Storage: Both the fridge and storage where large enough for my trip.
The Meh
- The A/C does a good job of cooling the room, but goodness gracious its loud when it comes on.
- The shower pressure leaves a bit to be desired. Not sure if its the hotel's facilities, or restrictive CA laws. At any rate. It was good enough to shower, but didn't bring much joy.
- I did encounter 1 bug that scurried behind the mirror. I lived. It also lived. The world moved on. Despite the bug, the room was clean, and I took no issue sleeping in it.
Bottom Line
Honestly, it was a good value. The hotel had excellent customer service, and their breakfast set up was really nice. The location is excellent if you are doing Disney land, and a little less so if going to the convention center, but again - it was a good value and ultimately was a net positive. Would I stay here again? Yes, if I was trying to save money, or was spending the companies money. Have a family and looking for a place to save some cash? You should consider this hotel.
