  Horrible room smelled of mildew and mold , switched to another room on a different floor and it smelled the same ! Got refund and left . Do not recommend

  Room was great, receptionist was nice, but the lady serving breakfast was not. She was at a table playing a game with the volume on loud. My husband and I were the only ones down there(about 7:30am). I sat down in a chair and it had syrup all over it (I stuck to the seat) when I got up I noticed it all over the floor as well. My husband grabbed a coffee cup for juice when she spoke up and said "that's the wrong cup you need to use a juice cup". He apologized. He grabbed a bowl of cereal and took a bite and the milk was bad. He got up to dump it and asked if he could pour the milk in the sink that it was bad " she said that milk ain't bad" and didn't get up so he had to take it to the bathroom to pour out the milk instead of dumping it in the trash. After he walked out she got up sniffed the milk and said "that's milks fine" and sat back down.

  Unplanned stop overnight. Friendly desk person who got us checked in quickly. Rooms were clean with just a bit of a damp smell which is typical for this area. Very reasonable rates. Breakfast was huge for a hotel and very clean and stocked. I would definitely recommend.

From the moment we arrived at the Best Western in Troy, we were impressed. The prices were very affordable, our room was spotless, it is very close to Troy University, and the breakfast was excellent—especially the biscuits and gravy! Everything exceeded our expectations. The real standout, however, was the incredible customer service. The housekeeping team had rooms cleaned early so guests could check in sooner, which was such a nice touch. Then we met Miss Mitzy, who greeted us with the warmest, happiest, and most genuine smile. She immediately made us feel welcome with her kindness, humor, and positive personality. The next morning, we checked out to attend a Troy University graduation. Unfortunately, when we got to our car, the battery was dead. Two different vehicles tried to jump it, but our SUV needed more power than they could provide. We were starting to panic because we were running late for the graduation and couldn’t get an Uber quickly enough. That’s when Miss Mitzy did something we’ll never forget. Without hesitation, she offered to drive us to the graduation herself so we wouldn’t miss such an important moment and could deal with the car afterward. Who does that anymore? That kind of compassion and genuine care is incredibly rare. Miss Mitzy wasn’t just doing her job—she was taking care of people. She is an extraordinary employee and a truly wonderful person. We are so grateful our paths crossed and that we had the privilege of meeting such an absolute angel in Troy. Thank you, Miss Mitzy, for your kindness and selflessness. We wish you nothing but happiness and blessings. Because of you, we’ll never forget our stay at the Best Western in Troy, and we would be happy to come back!

  Check in clerk acted like she hated her life and took forever to find us a room. Our last visit, just a month ago we were able to request a bottom floor. This time we were told no. The 2nd floor room that we HAD to take was smelly, dirty, and hot. The a/c needed cleaning bad. The bathroom ceiling had a ton of mold on it, which made even going in the restroom unbearable. The list goes on.. but needless to say the first floor is the way to go.
