This was our second stay at this location, and I’m afraid it’ll be our last. As many customers have commented, this place appears to have undergone a change in management. What used to be a nice place to stay at a nice price is now far from either. Upon entering the hotel lobby, customers are hit in the nose with an extremely strong perfume smell. Imagine having an old lady who literally took a bath in perfume shoved up your nose. That’s what the lobby is like, it’s what the hallways are like, and it’s what the elevator is like. They appear to have scent-releasing machines all over the place … and the “scent” isn’t good. My wife started getting a nauseating headache as we navigated our way to our room. Once in the room, we were greeted by a live cockroach in the bathroom, stains on the comforters/quilts of both queen beds, and a smell that is best described as old and cold. The telephone didn’t work, so notifying the front desk of issues was more aggravating than it should have been. In all, I’d say a night at this hotel is worth around $45 (all-in).
Due to the terrible smell throughout the hotel, we skipped the free breakfast and visited Chick-Fil-A instead.
We will not be staying here again, and unless you enjoy having your eyes burned out from the extremely strong smell of an old woman’s perfume, I suggest that you don’t either. Keep looking.
