  ​1 Star - A masterclass in financial incompetence and abusive damage claims Avoid Sixt Bodø Airport at all costs. This was by far the most stressful car rental experience due to severe administrative errors and bad-faith practices. ​First, they completely mismanaged the payment. On top of the money they actually took, they blocked all the available funds on my credit card for a period, completely freezing my access to my own money while I was guiding my group. Then, instead of simply charging the remaining balance, they essentially double-charged me, pulling a huge amount from my account and later refunding the difference to a completely different corporate card. This forced double currency conversion resulted in a significant personal financial loss (hundreds of euros) in bank fees and exchange rate spreads. It took a full month of long debates, emails, and involving an accountant to finally get my money fully reimbursed. ​Just when I thought the case was closed, a full month after I returned the vehicle, they sent a fabricated damage claim for nearly 2,400 EUR. They tried to charge me for scratches and a dent on the right side of the car—damages that were already explicitly documented and signed for in the initial handover protocol before I even drove the car. ​Furthermore, notifying a customer 30 days after drop-off directly violates Section 5 of their own rental contract, which states claims must be communicated within 24 hours. ​I had to completely cancel my credit card to block their unauthorized and abusive charge attempts. Do not rent from this branch. If you do, take photos of every inch of the car, keep the signed documents, and closely monitor your bank accounts for months after your trip. 🚩

  Sehr freundlicher Mitarbeiter. Auto war in einem super Zustand und fair aufgetankt. Rückgabe wurde einfach durchgeführt nd es kam promt ein Dokument. Kann ich also weiterempfehlen.

  The dealership tried to blame me for scratches on the rear right bumper that occurred after i returned the vehicle. Fortunately I had video so the case resolved quickly after corresponding with Sixt centrally.

  I had a fantastic experience renting a car from Sixt at Bodø Airport while travelling with my sister. The staff were friendly, professional and made everything quick and easy. The car was clean, comfortable and perfect for exploring the surrounding areas outside. The entire process, from pickup to return, was seamless. I highly recommend Sixt for their outsanding service and will definetly choose them again!
