    Bad branch and bad experience I make reservations in economy car give me mine car said just have this car tell me from bignning don’t have .. cancel my booking go to enterprise ..they waste my time

    Watch out for extra charges I rented a car from Sixt Nottingham UK for approx 12 days. I took out a Smart Protection Minimum Excess LDW insurance policy as recommended by Sixt Staff. The vehicle was good and ran well. When I returned it I later was charged an extra AUD$472.00 for what I can only assume was alleged rim damage, (10cm scratch). There were already multiple scratches on this rim, (reported in Sixt own rental agreement documentation). There was no advice to this effect, no advance notice of intention to charge. What use is thier insurance policy - BAD form Sixt. I do hope that there was a mistanding but it seems you have a reputation for this after further research.

    Popped in while passing a couple of weeks ago just to ask a few questions about hiring a car. I have to say Lucy was absolutely lovely! Really helpful and knowledgeable, and couldn't do enough for me. I wouldn't hesitate to use this Sixt branch, and just based on the interaction I had with her, I would happily recommend them.

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS I am writing this warning to everyone thinking of renting from this company: stay far away until they take serious action and replace the staff working at their branch. The level of service I received was absolutely shocking, unprofessional, and downright dishonest. I returned the vehicle in perfect condition — exactly as I picked it up — yet they literally stole money from my bank account after I handed the keys back. They took extra, unjustified charges without any warning or explanation. When I called to ask why, all they did was apologise, say they understood it was wrong, and claimed they were “in the process of sorting it out”… but nothing ever changed, and no money was returned. I was left having to chase them constantly just to get answers, and when I finally went to the branch in person, the staff became rude, defensive, and unhelpful — they just repeated “it’s still being processed” and said they could do nothing at all. It was awful behaviour and completely unprofessional. To give you the exact details: I rented the car for 2 days only, yet they added an extra day to my booking without my knowledge or agreement and charged me £159 for it — this was purely an error on their side, yet they refused to correct it. On top of that, I was charged an extra £40 for returning the car to their own parking area! Why? Because they have problems with their own parking system, yet they decided to charge me for their mistake. It is honestly ridiculous — you pay them to rent a car, then they charge you extra for things that are entirely their fault, and treat you badly when you question it. This is not how a legitimate business should operate. They lie, they take money they are not owed, and their customer service is rude, unhelpful, and completely unaccountable. I will never use them again, and I strongly advise everyone else to avoid them completely until they get new staff and learn how to treat customers fairly.

    We rented the car on April 22nd. There's nothing to complain about the vehicle delivered to us or the professionalism and kindness of the staff...very good. But what happened next is absurd. A month later, we were charged and simultaneously fined for entering and exiting their car park. It's a shame that to use the car from the parking lot, you have to leave, and it's a shame that our entry was contested at 7:30 in the morning, and our rental contract started at 10:30... You might expect these things from third- or fourth-world car rental companies, but I think in 2026 in England, it's simply insane, given the cost of the rental, and on top of that, I think. I trust in the prompt refund of the money deducted from my account and the cancellation of the fine, as reported by your staff at the Nottingham desk. Updates to the review will follow.
