    I had an excellent pick‑up experience with SIXT. To my pleasant surprise, the representative offered an unexpected upgrade, which made the start of the journey even better. The car was impeccably maintained and in top‑notch condition. The entire process was transparent with no hidden information or charges, which added to the overall comfort. The drive itself was smooth, reassuring, and thoroughly enjoyable.

    I would strongly advise against using this branch. I had a confirmed van booking for an important house move, only to discover that the vehicle was not available when I needed it. The situation caused significant stress and disruption, as I had already organised my entire move around this reservation. What made the experience even worse was the lack of communication. After the issue arose, the branch stopped responding to my attempts to contact them. I was ultimately forced to deal with Sixt’s central customer service team because the local branch was completely unhelpful and unresponsive. Mistakes can happen in any business, but ignoring customers when there is a problem is simply unacceptable. A rental company should be reliable, especially when customers are depending on a vehicle for a time sensitive event such as a house move. This was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have had in the UK. I will not be using this branch again and would not recommend it to others. ⭐☆☆☆☆

    AN ABSOLUTE DISASTER - We booked a car on 04.05.2026 and when we got there they did not have any car available. This is perfectly ok, except for the fact that they charged us for the car and the refund has not yet been completed. They keep claiming that it's the normal process, however, it's been more than 5 weeks that we are claiming for the money they charged us for a service they did not provide. It has come to the point where I am writing this review to expose their little care for their clients.

    Good staff, great car, but website and user issues. Problems started before I even arrived. I'd booked an automatic for an afternoon pickup then my plans changed. I went to the website and altered the booking to a morning pickup. The time change was fine but the car got switched to a manual which was quite unsuitable. I could not change the car via the website (!) and ended up having to cancel and rebook from scratch. At pickup we were courteously and efficiently served. A staff member drove the car out of the garage for us and left it running (in as much a hybrid can be left running) and we got on board to set off. No fault of Sixt but the controls and dashboard were baffling. I managed to work out the indicators, wipers and how to get into gear. We got under way but it took a while to set the aircon, turn off the radio, unlock the rear doors and adjust the mirrors. Even restarting the car was not immediately obvious. I never did find the light switch nor fuel gauge. Could SIXT nor supply a little card or booklet pointing out the essential controls? Out of hours drop-off was easy. The car itself? I'd asked for an Audi Q2 but was given a Leon Cupra hybrid. Very good car and I was happy with the substitution.

    They cancelled our reservation just a couple of hours after we booked, claiming they had no cars available and were completely sold out. I don’t understand why they allow customers to make reservations if there aren’t actually any vehicles available.
