I purchased a new pair of hearing aids from Boots Hearing Care in Pontefract (around £4,000), and unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. While the hearing aids themselves offer improved hearing, the overall service I received has left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied.
Firstly, the initial consultation was confusing. I was initially told that wax removal would be complimentary but later told that there would be a charge for this (I decided not to go ahead with this). This inconsistency was a disappointment.
Secondly, the aftercare service has been virtually non-existent. I've received no follow-up calls or inquiries about my satisfaction with the hearing aids.
Additionally, I've encountered difficulties obtaining essential consumables like wax guards, and the battery life often falls short of the promised duration.
Lastly, the waiting area is uncomfortable and unwelcoming, a stark contrast to the inviting atmosphere I would expect from a healthcare provider.
While the hearing aids themselves are functional, I believe that better value and service could be found elsewhere.
