  This Widnes visit was of 'two halves' to use the football analogy. First half was good and the problems (especially a hiss) in my £3k + hearing aids, bought a year ago in another local branch which failed to fix it, were addressed by the male audiologist. He did Audio direct hearing test with me wearing my hearing aids which was very good idea. He also uploaded new version of the software and rebooted the hearing aids. The second half was not good and problems started as soon as I asked him to explain what the the results were and what may be needed going forward. The best way I can describe it is that 20+ years ago if you asked your GP to explain his diagnosis and treatment he / she would be aghast the patient is actually asking questions! I asked him about arranging a follow up appt on this work and he told me to call the customer care team. When I pointed out that he could do it on the screen now (which they can) he was not happy and claimed he had set it up. (When I called the contact centre as I was not convinced about what he did they told me there was NO appointment!) His attitude was poor and he did all he could to get me out of the treatment room in an abrupt manner before my 30 minute appointment. It was unprofessional and perhaps Boots Hearing care should realise that customers who purchase their hearing aids have a reasonable right to ask what is being done to them and the results.
