Absolute life savers!
Had the loveliest gentleman (James!) rescue us after budget declined our booking.
James literally saved the day, as we were heading to a wedding with a quick turnaround.
Great customer service, great car - lovely and clean.

Poor service, poor organisation, and unexpected charges.
On arrival I was incorrectly told I couldn't rent the car I had booked because I was under 25. When I challenged this, the manager checked the website himself and accidentally proved I was eligible.
They then assumed I wanted an additional £90 insurance upgrade to reduce my voluntary excess. Rather than being offered it as an option they made it sound as if it was compulsory until I questioned it.
The security deposit process was poorly organised too. My credit card couldn't cover the security deposit and to use a debit card there was an £80. Seconds later this fee increased to £140 without a clear explanation because he himself didn't understand all the fees. He was so disorganised he almost charged me £500 forgetting that I had already paid for my booking online.
When I reluctantly paid the £140 for using a debit card instead of a credit card I was handed the keys and left to find the vehicle myself, only to discover it wasn't where I had been told it would be. They failed to walk me through the car's existing damage until I specifically requested it, at which point they pretended I was recieving a special service for free (classic car salesman technique).
The only positives were a free vehicle upgrade and a quick and easy return and key drop-off. However, the better vehicle was very damaged so I presume this was just beneficial for them to put the young driver who they think is going to crash on their already very damaged car.
Overall, the experience felt disorganised, misleading, and focused on extracting additional fees wherever possible.
Avoid Sixt, use another car rental company.

You’d think when you prepay for fuel there wouldn’t be any other hidden charges. Horrible service from these ones - we were charged £40 additional for a service charge associated with filling half a tank. What was the point of paying for the fuel service at all? Some transparency at purchase would be much appreciated next time for customers to make educated decisions. Won’t be returning.
Agent at check-in added "Shanghai" to the first line of my home address on the invoice, presumably because myself and my friend are of part-Asian heritage. I was born in the UK and have never even been to China. Hopefully this pathetic bigoted member of staff has now left.
Tyres on the car were dangerously over-inflated, which we only discovered when we stopped at a garage part way through. They then tried to charge us an admin fee for a toll charge even though I had paid the toll charge myself - they removed this when challenged, but that shouldn't have been necessary.
Shame because the agent that we dealt with upon return of the car was perfectly pleasant and helpful. Please get rid of the few bad eggs if you want repeat custom. (Visit =Mar 2022)
Great service! Sixt is located outside arrivals just across the road which is easy enough to get to. Nigel was great and when we told him we were taking the motorway up to Giant's Causeway he stopped us in our tracks and recommended driving along the Antrim Coast Road as it is one the most beautiful in the world. He was not wrong - I am so glad that he took interest in our travels to give us a special experience. I recommend 😊
