  Exzellenter Service. Gut erreichbar. Es gab eine grosse Auswahl an Fahrzeugen. Internationale Fahrten waren kostenlos (was eine angenehme Überraschung war). Ich habe das Auto über Booking.com gebucht und eine Vollkaskoversicherung abgeschlossen. Mir wurden keine zusätzlichen Leistungen aufgedrängt. Das Auto war recht neu und sauber. Die Kaution war mit nur 300 Franken gering. Die Rückgabe des Wagens war genauso unkompliziert; sie dauerte nur wenige Minuten. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dort buchen.

  Do NOT book with Sixt at the Zurich Airport. worst experience ever! We got there with our 2 little kids after a 20 hour journey, They told us that when we got there that the car we booked wouldn’t fit us and our luggage (we traveled as a group of 4 and only had 3 suitcases) and had chosen the option “medium sized car” for 4 via airmiles. Charged us an ADDITIONAL $1700 and then yesterday we returned the car and they said we are good to go and then received an email later the car is under review and we might have to pay an additional fee because of its condition. We didnt have 1 incident with the car? They claim something in the front would “look different”. Taking advantage of a young family; absolutely awful experience from pick up to drop off. First and last time booking with Sixt In addition, I speak German. Can’t imagine how they take advantage if someone doesnt. We book lots with airmile and never have been ripped off as with this company Their response after my review is absolutely ridiculous; that we had asked for an upgrade. They would have seriously let us stranded at the airport without a vehicle with 2 little kids. Unacceptable

  1 star. My rental cost less than CHF 1,000, yet Sixt charged approximately CHF 2,500 and placed another CHF 2,500 hold on my card, blocking around CHF 5,000 in total. Customer service admitted this was a mistake but told me the money would only be released at the end of my trip, at least 8 days later. In other words, I am expected to lose access to thousands of francs because of an error made by Sixt. Mistakes can happen. Refusing to fix them immediately is what makes this unacceptable. Check your charges carefully if you rent from Sixt.

  I sadly had a very bad experience with them today. Used this branch quite often and get a car from them roughly every month, but customer loyalty does not seem to matter at all. Returned the car with a full tank gave the employee the key and everything seemed good. One hour later I get a mail telling me that I only returned it with 6/8 fuel and can expect an additional charge of CHF 76.73. Thank god I took multiple pictures of the fuel tank indicator before returning. The WhatsApp chat doesn’t offer any solution, they won’t even look at your pictures due to data protection (well that’s quite an interesting explanation, making the whole thing a bit redundant). Normal customer service tells me to basically wait until everything is finalised. So I assume the process that they want is: get charged first, dispute later. What I find problematic is that all of this requires a lot of effort from the customer and I am very lucky to have taken multiple pictures. Otherwise it’s nearly impossible to prove the contrary. I now have to spend a lot of my free time to avoid a charge which simply is incorrect. This makes it very hard to trust this branch for a next rental, because who knows what else may be “found”. As a regular user of rental cars I need a reliable provider one can rely on. Take pictures of everything because you never know what charges may come…
