  Sono stata a cena all’Osteria Gallo d’Oro e mi sono trovata davvero molto bene. Il ristorante ha riaperto con una nuova gestione e si percepisce la voglia di dare una bella nuova direzione al locale. La cucina mi ha convinta: piatti curati, sapori ben distinguibili e una qualità che arriva chiaramente al tavolo. Ho apprezzato tantissimo il fatto che sia tutto preparato in casa, dal pane fino al gelato. In particolare le lasagne fatte in casa mi sono piaciute davvero tanto: goderecce, saporite e fatte molto bene. Bella anche la veranda panoramica, che rende l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. Nel complesso una cena molto positiva, con una cucina che merita attenzione e una nuova gestione che secondo me ha tutte le carte in regola per rilanciare questo ristorante. Consigliato!

  Serata con amici, cena davvero ottima, dall'antipasto al dessert, con vini di qualità. Squisuti il branzino e l'entrecôte al pepe della Valle Maggia. 👍😋

  Abbiamo mangiato davvero molto bene! Il servizio è stato ottimo, attento e professionale. Stefano, chef e proprietario, si distingue per la grande cura verso il cliente: sempre presente e disponibile. I piatti sono preparati con grande attenzione, ben presentati e realizzati con ingredienti di alta qualità. Si percepisce la passione in ogni dettaglio. Ottima anche la carta dei vini, ben selezionata e perfettamente abbinata alle proposte del menù. La location è davvero spettacolare: una terrazza tutta a vetro con tetto apribile che rende l’esperienza ancora più piacevole e suggestiva. Ci siamo trovati benissimo e torneremo sicuramente. Consigliatissimo!

  One of the best experiences I have had in Lugano. The food is simply excellent. A menu of what could be classified as simple food but made and served with a passion and care along with superb ingredients, that elevates it an extremely high level. As with all so called simple dishes there is no where to hide if ingredients or technique is flawed. Gallo d’oro does it to perfection and delivers a sublime experience. Excellent wine list catering to both conservative and curious tastes. And to go with an excellent cuisine a service level that I have very rarely found. Just the right amount of presence, discretion and very knowledgeable advice on wines, pairings and possibilities. In short, I have to return because I really really enjoyed it.

  one of those rare places where everything just clicks. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and genuinely welcoming, like being invited into someone’s home rather than just another restaurant. The service was attentive without ever being intrusive, the kind that makes you feel completely taken care of. And the food… wow. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with real care and high-quality ingredients. You can tell this is a kitchen that respects tradition but still brings its own personality to the table. Each bite felt thoughtful and satisfying. What really stood out was the consistency, from starters to dessert, everything hit the mark. No weak spots, no compromises. Just honest, delicious food done exceptionally well. Already looking forward to coming back.
