I was in Basel city center before heading to the FC Basel-FC St Gallen game at St Jakob Park so decided to head down to Pickwick for a pint I’ve been to several of the Pickwick locations across Switzerland so know that I will be getting a quality experience from a trusted brand. First of all the location is absolutely fantastic especially if you are heading to the football you can get the tram more or less door to door and it is super handy for Basel SBB station as well! They also have a really good beer selection including the local Basel beer which went down very nicely. It was also great to see that the pub had a core of friendly regulars including a group of FC Basel fans always a good sign! But the real stars of the show are the staff especially Sinead (and yes I did make kick off , just😂) she was really friendly recommended the beer, had the proper Irish Craic and had a great chat! Overall a really good way to experience Basel before the match just a shame the football on the pitch didn’t match up to standard of the pub 😆 Best regards from Edinburgh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇨🇭
