  Loved this hotel. They had the best buffet breakfast, the pizza was fab and was right downtown.

  We visited this pizzeria as a group of 12 and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. 1. We had children with food allergies who wanted to eat yogurt they had brought with them, but they were not allowed to do so. 2. After ordering, I asked for plates because our family was sharing pizzas. The server informed us, accompanied by an eye roll, that each plate would cost CHF 3. The charge itself was not an issue, but the attitude was unnecessary. 3. When the bill arrived, several items (Vegetaria pizza, Tagessuppe, and Orangensaft) were charged at higher prices than those shown on the menu we had been given. Upon asking, we were told that we had received an outdated menu and that the prices had been revised. This information was never mentioned while ordering, and our questions were met with more eye rolls. Later, I politely asked why the price differences had not been disclosed earlier. The manager immediately started taking cash out to issue a refund and claimed that only the soup price had changed, even though there were discrepancies on multiple items. I explained that the issue was not about the money—we did not need a refund. What disappointed us most was being given incorrect information and feeling that our concerns were not treated with honesty and respect. We understand that mistakes happen and prices can change, but customers deserve clear communication and courteous treatment. Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling unwelcome and misled.

  Could be value for money if you’re looking for spacious rooms. Rooms were good and modern but rooms lacked facilities like electric kettle or coffee/teas

  Wirt und Personal sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr gute Öffnungszeiten in der Pizzeria, eine gute Auswahl auf der Speisekarte, und das Essen hat uns nie enttäuscht. Wir haben 4x übernachtet und gegessen und wir bereuen nichts. Wenn irgend möglich kommen wir wieder. Wenn Grindelwald, dann im Steinbock übernachten und essen.

  A great location, within easy walking distance to all the main attractions. The room was clean and had everything that you need for a short stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. I could hear a lot of outside noise and the shower took a long time for the water to heat up, but that's not much of an issue.
