Willkommen im Hotel «Steinbock» Lassen Sie sich in unserem kleinen, aber feinen Familienhotel verwöhnen. Mitten in der imposanten Bergwelt von Grindelwald bieten wir Ihnen ein unvergessliches Ferienerlebnis, das ganze Jahr über. Sie finden uns gleich neben der Talstation der Gondelbahn Grindelwald-First. Die Bushaltestelle, vor der Türe, verbindet Sie mit den übrigen Bergbahnen. Zu Fuss sind es nur wenige Minuten für eine «Shopping Tour» im Dorfzentrum oder zum Bahnhof, dem Ausgangspunkt für Exkursionen ins ganze Jungfraugebiet. «Bella Italia» am Fusse des Eigers Grotto, Porto Azzurro und Montepulciano heissen unsere stimmungsvollen Räumlichkeiten. Mit viel Liebe und dem nötigen Können hat hier ein italienischer Künstler mit seinen Wandmalereien ein unverwechselbares Ambiente geschaffen. Bedient von unserem aufmerksamen Personal, können Sie in einer fröhlichen Runde oder in trauter Zweisamkeit ein paar schöne Stunden verbringen. Nous avons été accueilli de la meilleure des manières. Les chambres sont belles, très propres et silencieuses malgré la proximité de la rue. De plus, la pizzeria juste à côté est excellente, pizza sans gluten, j’étais ravie 😁

I gave the location 4 only because we got there at the end of a long day of train travel and then pushed our suitcases 700 m to the hotel which included a couple of hills. The best part of its location is that it is right next to the cable car to First. So even though we only checked in at 4 pm we were able to go up to First, do the cliff walk and get back before the last cable car at 6. The staff were friendly and helpful providing ice and a power adapter. Without bags it is a pleasant 10 min walk to and from the station, or there is a bus stop 20m from the door (buses are free with the pass provided by the hotel). The breakfast was nice with a good array of food. There was a nice view from our room.
