  We checked in and we immediately checked out. There was trash in every corner of the hotel, mountains of it (see photo). Once we got into the room I was having breathing irritation due to the level of uncleanliness. This hotel is not just bad, it is a biohazard. I am not sure how this is legal in Canada, truly. Unconfined trash in numerous parts of the hotel right next to rooms. Please think- if the trash and standards are this bad openly, imagine how bad it is in the places we cannot see. This is absolute filth.

  I had recently stayed a night here and probably never will again I had been quoted one price when I had booked the rooms and once I checked out I was charged an additional 130 dollars, when I called to figure out why I was charged more they said to me I was always quoted this price but I have a receipt to say other wise. I called multiple times to get this sorted out and greeted with nothing but disrespect from the workers or even just being hung up on, in addition to this problem I had booked this hotel for the pool and upon arrival found out that the pool was closed, this is something that I feel should’ve been disclosed before hand. Overall if you like you’re money being stole right under your nose this is a perfect place for you to book :) Be prepared for them to steal your money!

  Best Western Leamington Review We stayed at the hotel twice for 3 nights, June 8, then again on June 10, & 11. This hotel is mediocre at best. Our first room for the single night was Room 203 and it was worn and completely stripped of everything. We had to call the front desk to even have a box of Kleenex sent up. The one in the bathroom was completely empty. So if the room was serviced, why wasn't it replaced? There were no usual hotel paperwork. eg., where the ice machine is located. General hotel instructions, etc. There was no channel sheet for the TV to help guests find anything. Not even a single pen and notepad. Even the "do not disturb" door hanger was missing from the door. The desk chair in the room has ripped vinyl on both the back and the seat. It's 100% worn out. When we arrived on Monday afternoon, in the hallway outside Room 201 was a dirty dinner plate with cutlery sitting on the hallway floor. Clearly someone had ordered room service then just set the plate outside in the hall. The problem was, even on Tuesday morning when we checked out the plate was still there. Heck, Housekeeping had delivered supplies to our room next door and must have walked past the plate multiple times, but still left it there. Nothing screams a hotel staff that must think, "THAT'S NOT MY JOB" than that. When we eventually found the ice machine in the stairwell on the third floor, it does work fine and I'd give the hotel kudos for the Water Bottle Refill Station beside it. Only problem is that the "Filter" light was on for the entire week. What's the point of providing a bottle refill station for the guests to obtain clean drinking water, then you can't be bothered to service it and change the filter as required? Our second stay of 2 nights was in Room 221 at the end of the hall. Much better except that there was no hot water. I even called the front desk about 10 pm to report it. I did finally figure out that the hotel's hot water tank must be at the entire other end of the building. So if you wanted an evening shower, the trick was to turn on the sink tap full hot, the tub tap full hot, then go and watch TV for 10 minutes or more till hot water finally arrived at your room. That's a LOT of water wasted!!!! So yes, saying the hotel was mediocre at best if being kind. The only thing really going for it is the proximity to Pelee National Park and thankfully, at least the sheets were clean.

  Customer service at inital check in, tried to charged us twice for pet fee, and did not compensate us for the pool being down. Upon checkout customer service representative did apologize and correct these errors. Rooms: heavily scented pet rooms, with many fish flies( customer service said get use to them, they are harmless when informed about them in the rooms), room is right behind a kids playground.

  Such a fun place for families with young children to visit. The play area includes a playplace, basketball net, pingpong and pool tables, badminton net, and a little arcade section. The pool is shallow and has slides geared for young children but it was so fun seeing my independent toddler slide down on her own and wanting to go down again and again. Unfortunately, our 1-night stay was cut quite short when we discovered the hotel had bedbugs. The kids had just fallen asleep a couple hours prior, when we had to pack everything up and return home at 1am. Another issue we came across was the door of the wardrobe being very loose; it nearly fell on my child as he was opening it and it is extremely heavy. With some TLC, this hotel has amazing potential. However, until the bug issue is resolved, we will not be returning.
