  A decent stop-over and fairly consistent with Best Western standards of accommodation. Pretty as a picture on the outside. A smidge dated inside, but I think it adds to its charm and Kingston aesthetic. (Lots of Keirstead prints, a local artist, adorn its walls — that’s a nice feature.) The biggest con: the mattresses were hard and uncomfortable, and are clearly due to be replaced. Complimentary breakfast was solid; gluten-free options available, but only by request. The second biggest con was that unlike many other Best Westerns, the EV charger wasn’t free, and overpriced for its slow speed. Good enough for an overnight charge if there’s no one else waiting for it, but exorbitant for its cruddy capacity.

  Perfect choice for business travelers seeking efficiency and comfort. The executive desk in the room was spacious, the connectivity was fast, and the quiet environment allowed me to take uninterrupted video calls. The fitness center features modern equipment and is kept clean around the clock.

  ​Titre : Literie impeccable, mais séjour mitigé ​Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet établissement lors de notre passage à Kingston. L'hôtel est assez excentré par contre il bénéficie d'un parking privé gratuit. Le grand point fort reste indéniablement la literie, qui est hyper confortable et permet de bien se reposer. En revanche, le reste de l'expérience est plus mitigé : les chambres ont un style rustique qui mériterait un rafraîchissement et manquent cruellement d'insonorisation (on entend facilement les bruits environnants). De plus, l'accueil à la réception a été assez froid et impersonnel, et le petit-déjeuner proposé est très moyen, sans grand intérêt. Une étape correcte pour une seule nuit grâce au confort du lit, mais l'ensemble mériterait une meilleure prestation pour le prix.

  I stayed at the Best Western Fireside Inn on September 11, 2026, for one night at a cost of $361.88. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing, particularly considering the price of the room. When making the reservation, I specifically requested a room close to an entrance because my spouse has mobility issues. Despite this request, we were given a room at the end of the hallway, which made access much more difficult for him. We were also advised that the hot water would be shut off at 10:00 a.m. the following morning, September 12. This meant we had to make sure we were up, showered and ready well before the shutoff. While I understand that maintenance is sometimes necessary, it was another inconvenience during what was supposed to be a relaxing overnight stay. The ice machine on our floor was also not working. I had to search the second floor and eventually walk to the opposite end of the hotel simply to find ice. The most unacceptable part of our stay occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. We were awakened from a sound sleep by what sounded like hammering or drilling coming from directly beneath our room. I cannot confirm exactly what work was being done, but the noise was loud enough to wake both my spouse and me in the middle of the night. For $361.88 for one night, I expected a comfortable, relaxing stay and a reasonable level of service. Instead, we experienced one inconvenience after another: our mobility request was not accommodated, the ice machine was out of service, the hot water was scheduled to be shut off in the morning, and we were awakened by loud maintenance-type noise at 1:00 a.m. This was supposed to be a special night away and, sadly, our stay at the Fireside Inn put a very disappointing end to what had otherwise been a wonderful vacation. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. There are many accommodations available in Kingston, and in the future I will choose elsewhere. I was extremely dissatisfied with both the experience and the value received for the price we paid.
