  Worst hotel I stayed in! I simply can’t believe that this hotel is a best western PLUS! Or even best western period! The elevator was broken, of course no mention to that during the booking, the back door is locked from 11 pm - 7 am which is unacceptable. I had to park all the way in the back my son and I arrived shortly after 11 with both him and I are carrying stuff, the fob was broken to the back door!! Also no mention to that even by reception when we checked in! Him and I had to walk around the hotel to get in! The room smelt muggy and gross, obviously the house keeping is working very hard hauling new sheets to over 300 rooms with an elevator broken! I mentioned my dissatisfaction to reception, I got a survey and it asked if I want to be contacted about this issue I said yes! It’s been over a week and no one called! The room and the service do not justify the price! It felt like I chose a $50 hotel not even!

  I rarely leave reviews, but I had to recognize the outstanding service from EVAN at the front desk. From check-in to check-out, they were patient, attentive, and exceptionally professional. Their positive attitude and willingness to help genuinely elevated my entire hotel experience. Employees like this are the reason guests return. Management should be proud to have someone who represents the hotel with such excellence and care.

  Had a wonderful stay, and a big part of that was thanks to the amazing front desk staff. EVAN was incredibly welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. They handled everything with such warmth and efficiency that it instantly made me feel comfortable after a long day of travel. It’s rare to come across someone who goes beyond basic customer service and truly leaves a positive impression. Management should know they have a real gem at the front desk — thank you again for making the experience so pleasant!

  Best -Complimentary breakfast, Guest laundry available on site 🧺 and complimentary parking. Front desk staff = Exceptional customer service excellenceby Evan and Yiming. In the past month I have stayed in 5 different provinces and these two professionals are the best and most productive and efficient at the front desk Other front desk staff should be trained more Staff at their in-hotel restaurant = extremely patient in listening to unfortunate dietary restrictions and accommodating them. Location = perfect. Drive around or bus to all tourists spots Rooms = cute, neat, view of the lake

  I travel a lot. An because I've lived in so many hotel rooms. I have become very picky. The Best Western Chocolate lake hotel is the very first hotel I have absolutely no complaints about. The rooms are clean, spacious and perfectly maintained. The food at the hotel restaurant is amazing. Best Chicken parmesan I've ever had. The staff is sooooo friendly and helpful. The pool is small but. Perfectly maintained. The rec room is awsome and so is the gym. Everything is perfectly maintained and clean. The shampoo, conditionners, soap and lotion they provide are from Pharmacopua wich is a high end brand i didn't know. And now i am.in LOVE with these products. They sell for $47 a bottle on amazon. But i will buy them anyways. They are just too amazing. The hotel offers a breakfast included option. You have to take it. Usually breakfast included comes down to a few muffins coffe and an apple. They have a whole buffet. Eggs, all types of bread, muffins, bagels..ect. Pancakes. Fresh fruits. Cereals. Juices. Hash browns. Bacon ,ham and more. I will definitely come back here on my next trip to Halifax. And I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. 8 stars!!!!😁
