Truly enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus in Edmundston NB. We frequently travel between Halifax and Montreal . This has become my favorite place to stay. We have stayed at other places in Edmundston and this meets all my expectations.
I was issued 2 key cards for my room, I then went out for supper. Upon my return said Key cards stopped working, I went to the front desk the first day twice to get my cards reprogrammed. Next day same thing, but when I went to the front desk, it was a different clerk, and he was okay the first time I had to get it programmed, but when I had to return after my supper my cards didn't work again. I went to the desk and merely asked if he could switch the cards for different ones as these 2 weren't holding the programming. Instead of just doing it, he accused me of deliberately placing the cards next to my phone? At first I couldn't believe it, and so I said "so it's my fault?" His reply was well it's not us. There was a person there who appeared to be the manager. He was unable to answer any of my protests for the treatment I was receiving from his employee. I was extremely frustrated by the treatment, I voiced my frustration to myself as I was walking away, and then he accused me of swearing at him which I didn't. No apology, nothing. I would avoid this place as there's plenty of better options available in the area, and with friendly respectful staff. I told our admin person that I will no longer stay here.
Everything about this hotel is pretty darn good! complaint is the doors block no sound from outside your room, you hear everything, not to mention doors slam so loud :(

We spent a night here on our way through. The location was convenient, just off the highway. The rooms were clean and spacious, pool with slide was great and the included breakfast was delicious. The onsite bar with a great view was perfect for unwinding. We will definitely stay again.
Called multiple times to confirm pool was open, no answer, no mention on website of pool being closed for maintenance. Driving across the country with a 3 year old being promised a swim at the hotel, only to find out it's closed isnt something that's easy to explain to a toddler. Now fighting with best Western and travago to try and get a refund (we did not stay) is like pulling teeth. Travago won't issue a refund without speaking to the hotel (who doesn't answer their phones ) and best Western won't issue the refund without speaking to travago (according to the hotel). This may seem trivial to most, but the parents reading this will totally understand what I am talking about.
