I stay at the Best Western Hotel in Thompson regularly, and it continues to be a great experience every time.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the outstanding staff. A special shoutout to Mike, the front desk manager, along with Nitish and Pinkal at the front desk, they are always welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind. Their hospitality never goes unnoticed, and they consistently make each stay feel comfortable and appreciated. The hotel is very fortunate to have such great people on their team.
I’d also like to recognize the rest of the staff, including the restaurant and breakfast team. Even though I don’t know all their names, they are always friendly and attentive. The breakfast is solid and a great way to start the day.
The hotel itself is modern, clean, and well-maintained. The rooms are comfortable, tidy, and provide everything needed for a relaxing stay. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into both the service and the overall experience.
As someone who stays here frequently, I can confidently say this is one of the best places to stay in Thompson. I always have a great experience and look forward to coming back.

I was very disappointed with my stay and expected a much higher standard of safety and accountability from this hotel.
Throughout the night, multiple individuals were banging on our door repeatedly, each time for over 10 minutes. This woke us up abruptly and made us feel extremely unsafe. During this situation, we attempted to contact the front desk several times, but our calls went unanswered. We ultimately had to call local police ourselves, and even then, the issue was not properly resolved.
In addition to this, there was constant noise from the room above us, including stomping, running, and items being dropped, which continued throughout the night. As a result, my partner and I barely slept.
When this was brought to the front desk manager’s attention, the only resolution offered was 1,000 Best Western points. In my opinion, this does not adequately reflect the seriousness of the situation or the lack of support we experienced.
I would strongly encourage the hotel to improve both their security response and front desk availability, especially during overnight hours. Guests should feel safe and supported at all times, and unfortunately, that was not our experience.

Clean modern room, best place i have stayed in thompson. Was little noise on my last stay, but not disruptive.
