  Great hotel only a 1 minute walk to English Bay beach. Lots of dining options nearby. Room was clean and modern. Friendly staff. The onsite restaurant was good and their staff were very friendly. The noise from the street was an issue at night but admittedly not so much in the hotel’s control. The AC was much appreciated and worked well but the window unit was quite loud. Overall great price for convenient location.

  Rooms are comfortable but a little dated. The microwave and fridge in the room were super handy. Water pressure was great. Front dest was helpful. We had a small issue with the room cleaning crew but it was resolved. The bar/restaurant in the hotel was actually really good, and we attended the comedy show in house and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend this hotel for sure.

  Great location with short walk to enjoy downtown Vancouver, the beaches and the west end. The hotel itself is quite run down, though. Mold and mildew in our hotel room bathroom, and a few black/grey stains on the bedsheets. Very expensive for a single night, and on top of that the front desk did not inform us that there was a charge for parking until it was time for us to check out. Poor customer service. I’ve stayed at Best Westerns plenty of times but would not recommend booking this one.

  I think this hotel is polarizing because the rooms appear very different on the side facing the road vs facing the parking lot behind the building. My room was great and I had a great experience at this hotel, but the rooms facing the parking lot appear far older and worse. Can’t comment on the breakfast situation since I didn’t eat there. Anyways, overall, I had a great experience at this hotel and would recommend the rooms (facing the road) to anyone :)

  Our room as adequate but not large. The bathroom with toilet was very small. The air conditioning system in our room was extremely NOISY and whilst we asked the maintenance staff to try and lessen the noise, they were unable to do so such that we were only able to operate the air conditioning intermittently and never when we wanted to go to sleep. Breakfast was not a buffet service but table service and we found at our first breakfast that it was limited to one glass of fruit juice or one cup of coffee each. Also, if you wanted anything addiitional to the served breakfast (e.g. an extra round of toast) then that would be charged for as an EXTRA ! We did not find any lounge dedicated to residents at the hotel (other than a covered outside area with bar), and in our view the charge for our four nights accommodation was quite excessive and by no manner of means good value for money ! Finally, and as we were leaving the hotel, we were waiting for a taxi in an internal bar area when we were told that we could not wait there without ordering a drink ! In our view this hotel was very sadly lacking in customer SERVICE and customer CARE ! We will not be staying at Best Western again anytime soon !!
