Had a wonderful stay at Best Western Plus St. Albert. What impressed us most was the balance between city convenience and access to nature. Even though the hotel is located near fairly busy streets and traffic, we were pleasantly surprised that within about a 30 minute walk we could reach the beautiful trails and peaceful scenery of Red Willow Park. It felt like finding a little pocket of calm hidden inside the rhythm of the city.
The location was also excellent for restaurants and evening outings. Having Montana’s just about 5 minutes away on foot made for a great evening after a long day.
It was too bad that the hot tub was not working during our stay, especially since access to those amenities was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel in the first place. That said, the stay still turned out great overall thanks to the comfort, location, and surrounding atmosphere. We would gladly stay again.
Stayed at the Best Western in St. Albert and honestly I’m not convinced all the guests were alive. The hallway was so quiet at 2am I could hear the ice machine breathing. Took the elevator to the third floor and I’m pretty sure it stopped between dimensions for a second. The lamp in my room flickered exactly when I said “this place kinda feels haunted,” which felt incredibly disrespectful from whatever Victorian ghost was listening. Around midnight I heard footsteps outside my door, opened it dramatically like I was in a horror movie… and it was just someone carrying a bucket of ice looking equally terrified. Beds were unbelievably comfortable though — slept like the dead. 10/10 would survive another night there.
Stayed for a couple of weeks
Decent breakfast
I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Plus St. Albert. The hotel felt clean, modern, and well looked after. The staff were wonderful—friendly, professional, and always ready to help, which made the whole visit even better.
The room itself was quiet and comfortable, with a great bed and everything I needed. Breakfast was a highlight too: fresh, organized, and full of good options.
The location is super convenient, close to shopping, restaurants, and main routes, so getting around St. Albert and Edmonton was easy. Overall, it’s a great place to stay with excellent value and service. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone traveling for work or leisure.
I was put on the bottom floor to the left in a handicapped room that I clearly didn’t order. Which I told them. The room stank bad - like a combination of mold sweat I don’t even know what but even the desk staff admitted it smelled bad so they put me next door in another room that clearly stunk just as bad. It was a terrible stay due to that hardly any sleep nothing offered to rectify this and would never stay there again or this brand of hotels ever again. Staff clearly know the rooms reek. So why are you putting a paying guest in it- not once but twice in a row? Grossed out. Won’t be back suggest people book the other ones in town.
