Good prices, clean rooms, friendly staff. Many on-site services available from beauty needs to restaurant and lounge. Would recommend staying here. Would go back again.
We had a very pleasant stay at this Best Western Plus. The establishment was clean, comfortable, and overall very nice. The indoor water park looked really impressive and seemed like it would be a fantastic feature for families. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to enjoy it because time slots need to be reserved in advance. I would definitely recommend that future visitors reserve their spot ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
One activity we did thoroughly enjoy was the racquetball court. The front desk staff kindly lent us rackets and a ball, and we ended up playing for a full hour. It was a really fun and unexpected bonus during our stay.
Another highlight was the underground gym area with the pool, sauna, and hot tub. Those amenities were actually one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, and in that regard we were absolutely not disappointed. It made for a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.
The proximity to the airport was also a major deciding factor for us. We were extremely pleased to be so close to YYC while paying almost half of what we would have paid staying directly at the Marriott near the airport. That balance between convenience, amenities, and value made this hotel a very attractive option.
The only small downside was the sound level in our room on the first floor. With many passersby and several children in the area, noise levels were a bit higher than we would have hoped during parts of the day. It did become much quieter later in the evening, which was appreciated. That said, improved sound insulation between hallways and rooms would make the experience even better.
Overall, it was still a very enjoyable stay and we appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the variety of amenities offered.
We have stayed twice in the last 6 months in the King suite with the pull out couch. This will have to be our go to anytime we visit Calgary now. We love the space this room offers as well as the convenience. The couch is like a murphy bed and our kids love it. This room type is our fave because it has a table with 4 chairs and a separate bedroom with a door, which is nice once we put our little ones to bed early, but we still want to eat or watch TV. Also, the blinds are very good at keeping the room dark for them to sleep.
There are also two bathrooms (a full with a steam shower and jet tub and a half bath). This extra bathroom makes a hotel stay so much easier with a family
The heat in our room wouldn't turn on so it was a little chilly. We didn't bring this up to the staff, but had the temp dropped lower we would have had to.
For room service from Jetz, there are little GF options...but the GF pizza was really good! The other non GF food my family had was also very good. I did ask for a pitcher of water for our room. They said no, but then I discovered the water bottle filling station across from the elevators so that's perfect to use to fill up our bottles.
The breakfast buffet has an ok selection of GF and non GF. No GF bread, pastries, pancakes, etc...but I brought my homemade GF muffins from home :).
We love the pool and always forget that they have a selection of life jacket or floatation devices for little ones. That's really appreciated.
The waterslides are also always a hit with the kids. It's nice to have the shallow pool for little ones to have their own little waterslide too.
All in all, we'll be back!
I generally love this hotel, the pool and breakfast are great. However, I will avoid this hotel from now on. In an effort to update and modernize, I assume, the rooms are now outfitted with bright LED lighting that is way too bright to be cozy. All lights are the white kind that cannot be dimmed and it makes the room feel like day light all the time. Even the bedside table ones cannot be set to a comfortable tone for winding down at night.

Otherwise large Hotel, older refine hallways. Rooms were a pleasant surprise, comfortable beds and commercial berber carpet was plush and clean. Price very affordable if done through discount sources. Fridge and microwave which used to be standard yet now isn't so you can save $ by not eating out.
Best experience with the children is the waterpark! Suites right on site also. 3 hot tubs! One not known about and semi private which is really nice touch. Saunas and a fitness center that offers unique equipment. We are going to try out the racquetball courts today and we're very impressed at all the services yet they tend to shut down the hot tub lots for super silly reasons. Not dog friendly but that's okay, who is dumb enough to travel with them anyways right ; )? We are : ( 😆 and American dogs too, so misbehaved! Probably Trump supporters secretly.
