Die Firma wurde im April 1960 durch Rupert Rainer sen. gegründet. Im Jahr 1973 erfolgte der Bau der Werkstatt und eines Sägespäne-Silos, im Jahr 1977 Neubau der Säge. Rupert Rainer jun. legte im Oktober 1977 erfolgreich seine Meisterprüfung ab.
Im Jahr 1985 – anlässlich dem 25jährigen Bestehen der Firma – erfolgte die Betriebsübergabe an Rupert Rainer jun.
1988 wurde das Betriebsgrundstück erweitert. 1994 erfolgte der Bau des Bürogebäudes. Im Jahr 2002 wurde die Abbundhalle errichtet.
Robert Rainer trat in die Fußstapfen seines Großvaters und Vaters und erlernte ebenfalls das Zimmererhandwerk. Im Juni 2009 erwarb er seinen Meisterbrief.
2010 feierte der Betrieb sein 50-Jahr-Jubiläum.
2012 wurde das Unternehmen in eine GmbH umgewandelt. Seit 01.01.2013 führt Robert Rainer den Traditionsbetrieb mit mittlerweile 18 Mitarbeitern.
