Das Pflegeheim wurde am 26. April1854 von der Gräfin Franziska Batthyany gegründet. Schon von Beginn an war das Haus für all jene Menschen bestimmt, die der Pflege und Hilfe bedürfen.
Zur Pflege und Betreuung dieser Menschen wurden die Barmherzigen Schwestern vom hl. Vinzenz von Paul nach Pinkafeld gerufen, die ohne Unterbrechung bis heute diesen Menschen unterschiedslos zu Hilfe kommen. Hauptaufgabe war es, kranke und alte Menschen zu betreuen, Waisenkinder zu pflegen. In der Kinderkrippe werden Kleinkinder in der Zeit von Mo-Fr zwischen 7 und 17 Uhr betreut. Die direkt im Haus St. Vinzenz integrierte Tagesbetreuung wurde im Jahr 2008 eröffnet und bietet Platz für 12 Tagesgäste.
