- ALAnn LucasNov 14, 20251.0I just checked in and I am steamed at the reception I received at the front desk. I was surprised and irritated at the undisclosed fee about dogs--a $25 bounty per dog, per night, that came to over half of what I am paying for a two night stay. One of the young men at the front desk was not only a smart aleck, but he was laughing at me. I was irritated and had asked for a disclosure of this fee, per night, per dog. I have 2 old, 12# dachshunds who will sleep the whole time they are here. This fellow smirked at me, and basically said I could feel any way I wish to, and if I wanted to change hotels, I could. I booked through Expedia, and won't get my money back without making a federal case of it. Believe me, if I could without losing all my money I would. Nice room, btw, and good value for the room. But I will NEVER stay at an IHG hotel again if I can help it. I booked here because Holiday Inn Express has always exceeded my expectations. Except this time. Sleep in your car if you have business in Torrington, WY before staying here, folks.

This place took us in with no reservation at 5am when a nearby hotel couldn't work their computer to check us in after an extremely long day/drive at 5am. It could be cleaner with some attention to detail so the housekeeping staff need to get on board - whomever hires the front facing staff needs to step in and ensure that no corners are cut with cleaning.

I don't think it has a vacuum and the door latch on our room was almost not attatched. The elevator was horribly dirty. The only plus is the staff are very friendly and the coffee was ok.
