This was a 5-night stay at Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole and it was a complete breakdown of luxury hospitality. I’m not writing this as a casual traveler— we were a group of six, including experienced world travelers who routinely stay at Four Seasons Villas/Residences worldwide. What we encountered here was poorly managed operations, inconsistent communication, and service that repeatedly failed at the most basic level.
Resort guests were treated like the lowest priority. The lobby bar and restaurants were overcrowded with outside ski traffic, yet there was no meaningful access, seating priority, or reserved space for hotel guests paying premium nightly rates. When we asked staff for solutions, we were often met with “I don’t know.” That answer alone is disqualifying for a property marketing itself as a luxury resort.
New Year’s Eve was the most blatant example of mismanagement. The “VIP” lobby bar experience (prepaid) was not VIP: no elevated setup, no décor, no controlled entry, and non-paying guests walked in freely. We had to fight for seating and create a makeshift table. The in-room agenda was inaccurate (fireworks listed for 6:15 PM; started shortly after 6:00 PM), so we nearly missed them.
Then the Sno65 igloo: multiple staff members—including the GM- repeatedly represented it as an open bar experience. Despite prepaying, we were hit with nearly $2,000 in charges at the end. That is not a “miscommunication”— that is unacceptable billing clarity for a luxury resort. To make it worse, what should have been a controlled experience became a packed crowd of ~over 20 people in a tiny "igloo" with minimal service.
Housekeeping and room standards were equally unacceptable. Service was late enough to essentially eliminate turndown, and a robe was taken and never replaced for three days. Dining often required seating ourselves, yet there was little to no service once seated- we frequently had to order directly at the bar.
Reservations and service recovery were mishandled. Reservations made months in advance were not upheld, special occasion notes were ignored, and “comped” promises from management were not reflected in billing. Concierge also shifted a confirmed public snowmobile tour into “private only” at 4x the cost with hours to decide— an obvious upsell under pressure, not hospitality.
Bottom line: This property is charging luxury resort pricing while delivering a poorly executed, poorly managed experience that does not align with Four Seasons standards. This stay warrants follow-up based on the repeated failures, misleading representations, and lack of accountability.

I have stayed at many Four Seasons properties, and this was by far the most disappointing—and certainly not reflective of the price charged. We stayed over the Christmas break in two mountainside connecting rooms and paid an exorbitant amount for what ultimately felt like a very basic hotel stay.
Our rooms were pushed into a corner with an unacceptable view, essentially overlooking a roof. There were visible stains on the tile floors, and housekeeping was inconsistent to the point that we had to call daily just to have both rooms serviced.
Dining and guest services were equally frustrating. The restaurant could not manage appropriate seating for our party, and a simple request to adjust a dinner reservation took more than 20 hours to confirm. This level of service is completely inconsistent with the Four Seasons brand—especially at holiday pricing.
Aside from the valet and concierge staff, who were the only bright spots, this stay offered little more than a standard hotel experience at a luxury price point. It was not worth the cost, and the value simply is not there.

I had such a wonderful experience at the Four Seasons. Trey, the bartender, gave me an exceptional rum tasting-full of knowledge, warmth, and genuine passion. He made the experience fun and memorable.
And a special thank you to Sublina, who made my very first s’more with such gentle, kindhearted care. It was a small moment, but it felt so thoughtful and sweet.
The staff here truly elevate the atmosphere with their sincerity and attention to detail. I felt welcomed, cared for, and beautifully spoiled. Five stars all around.
