We are more likely to stay in a Hampton Inn than any other hotels or motels after staying in a few of them during our latest 14 day trip and comparing with the others. It seems to me that the bedding of Hampton Inns and towels are more comfortable and newer than other hotels', which is the most important thing for my wife.

We selected the Hampton because it was rated 4.5 on Google Maps and we were able to secure a reasonable price from one of the hotel booking sites. We've stayed in Rock Springs before and unfortunately the standard of quality is a little lower in this area. However the stay was generally good. This is an older Hampton that has been remodeled and it is clean. Some points to note: the beds are extra firm with about 2" of foam on top. Water pressure and HVAC are good and there is an exhaust fan in the bathroom - great! The hot deluxe breakfast is good; typical Hampton. Standard rooms are on the small side; typical Hampton. The toilet is low. There is a medium size pool which the kids love. Security is good. Gary, the front desk clerk was very friendly and accommodating. But we had to ask for more toilet paper as the maid service did not leave us with enough. Although the remodel looks great, the furniture is beat up and needs to be replaced. A light fixture was broken. You can tell the room is older because of the lack of power outlets and the limited lighting. But the stay was comfortable, if you like hard beds. If you don't you will not be comfortable.

Right when we walked through the doors David, the customer service representative greeted us with a big smile and a hello. We chatted for a moment and went to our room on the second floor. The room was clean and big. We got two queen beds and there was a good size TV. Were only staying one night but its in a great location near many restaurants and fast food. We checked out Sapporo Steak House for dinner and gonna eat it now! Check out Hampton Inn when your visiting Rock Springs!

Smallest Hampton hotel room I have ever stayed in. Room looks like a Motel 6. Can’t believe this is a $200 room. Dark, dingy, and beat up.

We typically stay at Hampton Inns when I travel because they offer a great experience, however we were highly disappointed in this location. The hotel is very run down. Everything is in bad shape. They are doing exterior renovations (probably to lure people in before they see the rooms), but they should be focusing on interior renovations. The carpets in our room were not cleaned well. The shower head was terrible. The shower barely drained, and the drain cover wasn't connected and had a loose screw in the drain below. (?) The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. Breakfast was the same food as other Hampton Inns but somehow tasted so much worse here. Only one hour into breakfast almost everything was out of stock. We stayed at a different Hampton Inn in Denver one week later and it was so much better in every way, and somehow cheaper. In the end it's just a warm bed, but if you're looking for the typical Hampton Inn quality accommodations, I recommend staying somewhere else in the area.
