We had a lovely experience here. The staff was so friendly, the rooms are practically brand new, comfortable beds, even the coffee was good. We will definitely stay here again when we come back.

Renovations going on in swimming area so was not available. Room was spacious. Eating places were close by either walking or driving. Was windy (always in Wyoming), but not extreme. Lady at the desk was very helpful directing us to eating places and businesses we could explore in Rock Springs

Nothing like waking up early when you think you could sleep in to banging on walls, power tools, etc. they're remodeling the hotel which is nice but very annoying when you're trying to sleep. Breakfast isn't even a full breakfast and it's being served in the hall way. There's no hot food except oatmeal and waffles. Couldn't they at least serve breakfast in a meeting room, not the hallway and save the construction for when people is NOT here and NOT trying to sleep???

I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but today at the Hampton Inn in Rock Springs, WY deserves one. I wasn’t even going to mention that it was an old room and it smelled funny. But after my checkout experience this morning, I couldn’t help it
I’ve been a loyal Hilton customer for over 20 years. My parents are still Diamond members, and between all of our travels, we’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars with Hilton. So trust me when I say I know what the Hilton standard should feel like — and this wasn’t it.
Breakfast this morning was subpar at best, and the coffee actually made my stomach hurt. I have an ulcer, so I simply asked the woman at the desk if I could buy a can of Coke — warm, cold, didn’t matter. I wasn’t asking for special treatment… just a little kindness.
She looked at me like I wasn’t important enough to help. Meanwhile, I saw the box of sodas set aside for Diamond members. I fully understand I’m not a Diamond member anymore, but I was literally offering to pay for the soda. It was an easy moment to just be a decent human being.
And honestly, that’s what disappointed me the most.
No greeting when I arrived. No acknowledgment. Not even a “good morning.” Just… indifference.
When hotels are competing harder than ever for business, experiences like this matter. It’s sad to see a place I’ve trusted for two decades lose the simple art of hospitality.
Small gestures make a big difference — and today, this Hampton Inn missed the mark entirely.
